As we are approaching closer to the end of Q4, smartphone makers are making most of it by unveiling smartphones of different price range. The phones released today are around the globe are Huawei Honor Holly 4 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Y1, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite, HTC U11 Life, HTC U11s Plus, Oppo R11sR11s Plus and OPPO F5.

We understand there is a lot to know about each and every phone launched today. Don’t worry, we got it all covered in brief in this post for you. We have listed down the smartphones released today and their respective specifications down below.

1.Huawei Honor Holly 4 Plus

honor mollyThe Huawei Honor Holly 4 Plus which was launched in India, is an upgraded version of Honor Holly 4. Honor 4, which was launched earlier has hit the market in the start of October this year, had received mixed reviews.  

The new Holly 4 Plus displays a 5.5-inch screen at 720p resolution is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor. Thanks to the 4000mAh battery, the company claims that this phone can run 20 hours video playback, 66 hours music playback or 15 hours of 4G web surfing. The phone is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended to 128GB at most via a microSD card.

The phone currently runs the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with EMUI 5.1. The specifications of its camera sound promising, with a 12 MP primary camera with 1.25micron sensor, this snaps will also be sharp even in low light. The features offered for the 8MP front camera are beauty mode, Slow motion time lapse and PRO mode.

2.HTC U11 Plus

Reckoned as one of the best smartphones of this from various reliable sources, the new HTC U11Plus is one great mobile you would like to buy ASAP. By the name, the U11 Plus is an upgraded version of the very successful HTC U11. Compared to the predecessor, this phone has a bigger battery with 3930mAh capacity and the bezels have been minified, if not zeroed it down. Apart from the specifications, the cherry on the top for this phone is the Android Oreo running on this premium phone. The other improvements in this phone are IP68-rated water and dust resistant.

Although the upgrades are quite impressive, the HTC U11 features the same primary 12MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, Snapdragon 835 processor and the same variants of memory i.e 4/6GB with 64/128GB of internal memory, respectively.

3.HTC U11 Life

HTC has announced to launch another smartphone which focuses on the mid-range market.

The design of this phone is magnificent complementing to the liquid surface design is made of acrylic which was surprising as this phone replicates the look of glass-covered HTC U11. But for this price, you can compromise. It comes with a 5.2-inch Super LCD Display equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. HTC U11 life also sports 16+16MP cameras back and front and fuelled by a 2600mAh battery.

The phone does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack however, the U11Life is packed with Usonic active noise cancelling earphones.

4.Oppo F5

The Oppo F5 features a 6-inch full HD+ display screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. It sports an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor configured by 3200mAh, 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 256GB.

The highlight of this smartphone is the camera. The “selfie expert” houses a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. The camera is appreciated by pre-installed software viz. face recognition, AI Beauty Recognition Technology

Oppo F5 also includes the game accelerator, Split screen and O-share which transfers data swiftly.

5.Oppo R11s and (6)R11s Plus

Both the latest smartphones again from Oppo were launched look identical by design but differ by sizes. The R11s Plus is comparably bigger in size displays a 6.4-inch full HD+(1080x2160p) AMOLED display and R11 has a 6-inch display of the same quality.

Both the phone possess almost the same features: Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, 20MP sensor in front and 16MP primary camera with the 64GB of internal storage.

The Oppo R11s plus is superior in terms of battery and RAM as it is packed with 4000mAh battery and 6GB RAM compared to 3205mAh battery and 4GB RAM in Oppo R11s.

Both the phones feature a dual camera at the back and both run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2

7.Xiaomi RedMi Y1

The new Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is the latest smartphone launched by the Chinese company. The 5.5-inch smartphone will run the latest MIUI9 out of the box, which offers better performance to the phone with faster CPU acceleration and optimized scheduling in the background.  Redmi Y1 sports a battery of 3080mAh capacity and weighs 138g. This phone is available in two variants:3/4GB of RAM with 32/64GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB which runs on 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU.

The main highlight of this phone is the quality of the camera. The Redmi Y1 comes with the 13MP camera on the back and 16MP secondary camera with LED flashlight, f/2.0 aperture and 76.4 degrees wide angle lens.

8.Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite

Another smartphone launched is the “lighter” version of the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. The Y1 lite displays a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) screen mounted with a Corning Gorilla Glass. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor packed with a 3080mAh battery. It sports 2GB RAM with 16GB of internal memory available which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

It also features the phase detection auto-focus technology on its 13MP rear camera and also has the 5MP camera on the front. This phone operates on the Android Nougat 7.1.2 with the beta version of MIUI9.

Well, the smartphones companies have made an aggressive approach as we come closer to the business end of the year.

Huwaei has made an impact by unveiling an upgrade to Holly 4 within a month! Xiaomi has launched two dynamic phones which offers amazing features we have never seen before in this price segment in a very long time. Oppo has grabbed our attention by hallmarking the camera in every smartphone they offer to make us all “Selfie Experts”.
