It has been just some time since the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S8, and we already have manufacturers bringing their phones for competition. Latest entry in the segment is the HTC U. The phone was spotted on AnTuTu’s website and will apparently run on the Snapdragon 835 SoC, the same as that of the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The news comes in the wake of Samsung’s announcement of the latest phones on March 29.
Codenamed ‘Ocean’ by HTC, the latest phone is currently under development and is expected to be launched soon. A phone by the name of HTC CBP was seen on the database of AnTuTu. It is believed that this is going to be the HTC U itself. Having a huge and loyal fan following, this news from HTC will make all HTC fans more than just happy as now they will get the trust of HTC and cut-throat competitive performance as well, that matches the likes of Sony Xperia XZ, iPhone 7 Plus and of course Galaxy S8.
The phone will apparently run a high-end Cortex Octa-core processor mounted on Snapdragon and 835 SoC, with 4 Gb RAM, and will apparently sport a 16MP camera.
Apart from that, there will be a 12 MP front camera, Adreno 540 GPU for graphics and 64 internal memory.
The phone has appeared just recently and has already taken the world by storm. Even though there is not much information available about the phone, it has created a stir anyway, and people are already talking about HTC planning on giving not just the Samsung flagships, but also Apple and Xiaomi some tough competition.
We’re highly intrigued by the news and are digging more and more into it. We will soon come up with more information about the phone and keep you updated. Stay tuned.
