Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been making rounds and rounds of rumours for many months now. After the Note 7 fiasco, people expected the brand’s popularity to go down. But apparently, there are no signs of any distrust towards the smartphones giant; this was showcased when Samsung uploaded an image on twitter, that was intended to promote the Samsung Exynos 8895 – the proprietary chipset Samsung has installed on its current flagship devices, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

What’s so special about the image? The image was meant to promote the Exynos 8895 chipset. However, the image had a phone in it, which looked nothing like any of the existing phones from Samsung, let alone the S8 and S8+. The device in the said image had thinner bezels and a dual-curved edge display.

Still not convinced? The phone in the image just matched with the descriptions that we have been getting about the phone from leakers. Being a promotion about the best chipset Samsung has, the phone in the promotion had to include a phone that would actually feature the chipset. Since it is not the S8 or S8 Plus, and no other phone than the Note 8 is rumoured to have that chipset installed, well, this has to be it.

To top it off, there was no attempt whatsoever from Samsung to take the image off. They have kept the image, at the same time have refused to make any statements about it. The move from the brand is an excellent one, as the time to release the phone is nearing, and this gives them the needed hype to make the sure the phone remains in the talks for as long as possible so that they can cash in on it once the phone is launched.

Another reason is that Apple is planning to reveal the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus very soon. And Samsung has to steal the limelight from them. Apple iPhones are the single most popular devices in the world. Despite Samsung being the top smartphone maker, iPhone’s sales far outnumber the sale by any individual Samsung device. This move from Samsung clearly reveals the rivalry between the two brands.

By the way, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is still rumoured to be powered by the SnapDragon 835 Octa-Core SoC chipset or the Samsung Exynos 8895 Octa-Core SoC. The phone will feature 6GB/8GB RAM and will also sport a dual-camera system. The note 8 will essentially be the first phone from Samsung to feature a dual-camera. Earlier the C10 Pro was rumoured to be the first phone, but there haven’t been any ‘developments’ on that part. This leaves us with the Note 8 as the only device in the arena.

Samsung is preparing well for the launch of their next ‘best device yet.’ The entire Note series has always been the point of immense success from Samsung. Our best wishes are with Samsung in the regard. Meanwhile, enjoy the leaks. We are as excited as you are.
