After Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the snapdragon rumour mill has turned towards the Mi Note 3. Xiaomi will soon unveil the next premium phablet and the rumours have it that it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 836, which was earlier rumoured to feature in the Mi Note 3. Several sources also revealed that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will also sport the Snapdragon 836. Aside from the cameras, batteries and displays, both Mi Mix 2 and Note 3 will likely feature the same specs.
Looking at just the numbers, Snapdragon 836 won’t be a huge upgrade over the Snapdragon 835. As per the information that is currently available, Snapdragon 836 is just an overclocked Snapdragon 835. Popular phones like Samsung Galaxy S8, Google Pixel XL 2, HTC U11 sport the Snapdragon 835, and so far we have received great reviews of these smartphones, in terms of overall performance.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is also rumoured to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will run on Nougat v7.1.1 and fuelled by a 4000 mAh battery. With a 5.7inch AMOLED display screen, the phablet might also feature a curved display with a fingerprint sensor located on the front, just like what we have seen in its predecessor Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
Its previous version runs the Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage memory. This 5.7-inch full HD phablet comes with another variant which features 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Thanks to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco and amazing specifications of Mi Note 2, this phablet performed very well in the market and became an ideal alternative to Note 7. Xiaomi Note 3 has some big shoes to fill and since the upcoming phablet is an upgrade to predecessor Note 2, you may expect Note 3 to be an excellent phablet to buy.
Although the information we gathered is based mostly on rumours from several sources, this information needs to be taken with a pinch of salt; Xiaomi hasn’t released any official information regarding the Mi Note 3. We can surely get more information on Note 3 as we come nearer to its release date. Stay tuned with us as we dig in more information over it.
