It has been a few days since Google launched their latest OS, Android v8.0 Oreo and started rolling out OTA updates for stock Android experience. As time passes, more and more manufacturers will be rolling out updates for their best devices, to keep the user experience flowing with ease. After a bit of research we found that these phones will get Android Oreo update soon; and by soon we mean there’s a high chance you may be running the latest Android version by the end of November.
Let’s dig into it right away:
Samsung Galaxy Note 8, S8 & S8 Plus
Samsung has been the top manufacturer for a long time, and a big part of their fan base has been due to their timely updates. If all goes well, Samsung will release the Android v8.0 OTA update within the next four to five weeks for Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 devices globally.

OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T
OnePlus has been making flagship phones at half the price of the competition, but that hasn’t been the reason why they have a such a huge fan base. OnePlus had announced unlimited OS updates for at least three years at the time of its launch of OnePlus 3. And so, as they keep their promise, all OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 devices should get an update.

Of course, the update will have the OxyGenOS mounted on Android v8.0 Oreo. OnePlus has promised Android Oreo update by the end of 2017.
Sony Xperia XZ series
Sony’s Xperia series is less marketed than others but gathers huge amounts of sales anyway. Sony has managed to stay relevant in the industry very well, all thanks to the fabulous support they provide post sale.

Entire Nokia Android Series
Nokia entered the market with a bang and captured a large portion right away. Running stock Android in their devices, there should be no problem for HMD Global to simply get the update from Google, make a tweak here and there and roll out the updates to all phones, including Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 right away. This will include an update for the recently launched Nokia 7 as well.

Motorola G & Z series
Motorola has been offering stock Android experience to their customers since a long time now. Even Moto G4 Plus ran on stock Android v6.0 Marshmallow, which received the v7.0 Nougat update very soon. Moto has always been quick to offer OS updates.

Asus Zenfone 4 series
Asus is usually a bit late as their custom user interface, the ZenUI is a bit heavy and takes time to develop. Last year the Nougat update for Zenfone 3 series was released in December, while other brands had received it much sooner. Things appear to be changed this time. Apparently Asus will release their updates sooner that we thought.

So far, these companies have been confirmed to get an Oreo update. Huawei phones, Xiaomi, Nexus and Google are also in line. It is well known that Nexus phones get the first updates and so does Pixel series.
The rollout has already begun. While Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be coming with Android v8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, other phones will be getting the Oreo update eventually. If your phone isn’t listed here, worry not. Nearly every device purchased in 2016 and 2017 is expected to get an update sooner or later. Let’s just wait and watch.
