Samsung Electronics, arguably the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer has been making top-notch smartphones for a long time now and has been tasting immense success year after year. And this is not a coincidence; Samsung works really hard on making sure their devices perform well every day, 24×7. We keep collecting news about the latest devices and rumours surrounding them all the time. Our current favourite happens to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the latest premium device from Samsung that was expected to come in the third quarter this year. Apparently, the arrival is all set to be in the third quarter indeed. If the latest news that we heard is to be believed, we could be seeing a launch event from the company on August 23.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the latest device from the South Korean manufacturer that will be placed in the flagship category. Being a successor to Note 7, this phone will be the next in the Note series lineup from Samsung. Just like all other Note devices, this one too will fall in the category of phablets. Taking valuable lessons from the Note 7 episode, the company has ensured the safety characteristics and standards are up to the mark, and the device is absolutely safe to handle.
The device will be powered by the Samsung proprietary Exynos 8895 Octa-Core Chipset/SnapDragon 835 SoC (US Version). The phone will be a part of 6GB RAM club and 64GB internal storage. Also, the phone will have a dual-camera setup, making it the first device from Samsung to have this feature. Although, it is still not certain, most probably, the fingerprint sensor will be installed on the rear panel. Both Apple & Samsung tried their level best to embed a fingerprint sensor beneath the OLED display panel and get the thing to work; turned out that feature will have to wait for a while.
On the software part, we’ll get to see the latest Android v7.1.1 Nougat installed with all the updates and bug fixes pre installed. The phone will have iris scanning technology embedded in its front camera, just like the Note 7 and the Galaxy S8. Apart from that, we’ll get to see Bixby, the virtual AI assistant accessible via a dedicated button. Other unique features include a brand new S-Pen with 4096 pressure points, to be able to recognise when the owner is scribbling and when not.
We have already told you most of the rumours and leaks about the next ‘best yet from Samsung’; the news about the brand having fixed its launch date is on the air because apparently, Samsung is silently distributing letters of invitation to select people in advance for the Unpacked Sealed event. We have picked up the hints, and it is almost confirmed (only an official statement is needed now) that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Launch Event will be held on August 23, 2017. We’re waiting eagerly, are you?
