Samsung entered the smartphone business in April 2009, with the Samsung Galaxy (GT-I7500), found success and has never looked back since then. The company had found its adaptation to the changing environment; where the transition from feature phones to smartphones had been set apace. The company then went on a spree of bringing in more variants of the Samsung Galaxy, and eventually became a sub-brand of the business itself. The Samsung Galaxy Note was released in October 2011 and has since then all future editions of the Note series have been sitting the list of top selling devices of the giants.
We took some time to feed the curiosity of so many Samsung fans in our country and have made a compilation of all the Note devices Samsung has brought so far. Sure to take you through a trip of nostalgia, if you ever owned one of them:
Samsung Galaxy Note
The first ever ‘phablet’ from Samsung, the device is brought by Samsung to mark a transition between the Galaxy S II and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Also, it will stand among the very first and few Android devices that worked with a pen, that too on a capacitive touchscreen. The phone would prove to be an instant hit, especially among the working class.Samsung Galaxy Note Prices in UAE
Galaxy Note II
The second edition of the Galaxy Note comes one year later in September 2012, with the then latest Android v4.1.1 Jelly Bean installed. Since latest OS updates aren’t so common yet, this builds up a lot of hype and Samsung cashes in on it. The best part is the ability of the S-Pen has been increased with the new Note.Samsung Galaxy Note II Prices in UAE
Galaxy Note 3
The next edition of the Note would come the next year, i.e. in September 2013, with improvements in not just software, but also hardware part. Also, this time, Samsung would pitch in the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean which was promised an update to v4.4.4 Kitkat, which further would receive an update to v5.0 Lollipop.
The Note 3 would also bring in the traditional 5.7-inch screen which will be followed by future Note devices.
Galaxy Note 4
Once Samsung is assured that the Note series is doing very well, their confidence is boosted, and subsequently, the next device would experiment with the camera bringing in the OIS technology to a 16MP super-resolution camera.
Another important thing about the phone will be its improved S-Pen. A new digitizer, installed after redesigning would now recognize up to 2048 different pressure levels, allowing your device to identify the owner with the pressure applied by the pen while scribbling on the screen.
Galaxy Note Edge
It hasn’t even been two months since the launch of the stellar performer, the Note 4 and the Note Edge is already in. The Note Edge would be launched as a part of Samsung’s strategy to bring in diversity in the amazingly selling Note dept.
The Note Edge is the result. Everything is the same; except the design. This marks the beginning of the curved edge display trend.
Galaxy Note 5
The Note 5 follows the trend, set by its predecessors and comes with power packed features, such as the current best chipset, the Exynos 7420 Octa-Core; Takes the performance characteristics of Samsung to an altogether different level. The phone would also promise a system update upto Android v7.0 even before the OS actually comes out.Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Prices in UAE
Galaxy Note 7
Surprisingly, there’s no Galaxy Note 6, but a Note 7 directly. Unfortunately though, despite the very great specs, a faulty battery protection circuit causes some Note 7 devices to catch fire (read explode); Samsung recalls all the Note 7 devices from all over the world. People mock Samsung.
Galaxy Note 7R
After a year of recall, Samsung brings the presumed dead device back to life, with a reduced battery capacity, and a redesigned battery protection. Samsung announce the device will be made from parts of the original Note 7. As of June 2017, the device is under development and will be launched in the near future.Samsung Galaxy Note 7R Prices in UAE
Galaxy Note 8
On the lines of the Galaxy S8 and the S8+, the company announces the arrival of Galaxy Note 8, not a single bit disheartened with the Note 7 fiasco. Release expected in September 2017, just like every year. Many speculation roam around the device, most prominent one being a dual camera installation, allowing for greater depth perception and zoom capabilities.Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Prices in UAE
This is the timeline of the Note series so far. Samsung has tasted tremendous success with their devices and has been manufacturing great styluses and greater phones. We wish the best of luck to Samsung for all their future endeavours.
