One such popular smart phone is the Apple iPhone 5 which was in market a few years ago. This smart phone was announced on 12th September, 2012. Later on it was released in the market on 21st September, 2012. The previous version to this smart phone is the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 belongs to the 6th generation of Apple smart phones. This smart phone is aims at the regular iPhone users worldwide and also those middle class and upper middle class customers who might want to give the iPhone a try. iPhone 5 comes with a lot of changes in its design as compared to its predecessor. This smart phone is so much lighter than its previous model. It also has a sleeker body and easy to hold dimensionality. It comes with an Aluminium based body which gives the smart phone its lightness. The display screen of this smart phone is taller than in iPhone 4S. The change in design makes this smart phone look more premium. Due to the metallic body, the grip of this smart phone is not very good. So the user must be careful while holding it without a protective external casing. It comes with a length of 123.8 mm and a breadth of 58.6 mm. It has thickness of a mere 7.6 mm and weighs really less. It only has an average weight of 112 g. This makes iPhone 5 phone very handy and easy to travel with. The display in this phone is of 4 inches that comes with a retina display. It also comes with a LED –backlit widescreen, working on the IPS display technology. Additionally it comes with a Multi – Touch feature too. It comes with a pixel resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels. This smart phone works on the famous iOS 7 which is upgradable to iOS 9.3.2 later after purchase. This belongs to the 6th generation of iPhones. The chip set used in this phone is the Apple A6. This comes with a 64 bit processor which takes care of all the processing action within the phone. The 64 bit processor ensures there is not much lag. A Dual – Core Swift processor based on the ARM V7 technology is used here for the central processing. The clock speed of the dual core processor is 1.3 GHz. The graphics interface is controlled using the Power VR SGX 543 MP3. The speciality of this GUI is its triple – core graphics feature. The internal storage options available are 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. Here we are looking at the 16 GB version. There is no option of expandable storage using a micro SD card. The RAM used here is a 1 GB DDR2 type.
CAMERA & MULTIMEDIA:
The main camera in iPhone 5 is 8 MP iSight camera. It has an aperture focal length of f/2.4 and a wide angle of 33 mm that gives clarity of 1.4 micro pixels. The video recording in this smart phone is better with the back camera. Videos of 1080 p at the rate of 30 fps can be recorded using the main camera. The front camera can record with a resolution of 720 p at the rate of 120 fps. The audio clarity is very mediocre in this smart phone. It doesn’t have a functional FM Radio feature.

Apple iPhone 5 comes with a Non – removable, Li-Po battery. The capacity of it is 1440 mAh with a power rating of 5.45 Wh. The stand by time is up to 225 h and the talk time is up to 8 h. This phone comes with single sim feature. It is of Nano sim type which works only on GSM network. It does not work on 4G. Basic wireless connectivity features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are present.
PROS AND CONS:
The major advantages of the Apple iPhone 5 are its sleek body, metal finish, premium look, processor and light weight. The disadvantages though are its low RAM, battery capacity and lack of expandable memory.
