The Apple iPhone X may not have been the most successful of Apple’s products. The hype was created and the public were all riled up. But the unveiling of the device itself was a downer. The new iPhone X was far from perfect and had some gimmicky things that users found annoying, such as the new gestures, the facial recognition lock, the little bezel at the top where all the sensors are located etc. all in all, the iPhone X had problems and Apple went ahead built a plastic version of device and released it in the market. So far as their motive is concerned, we don’t have a clue. The iPhone Xc appears similar to the X aside from its plastic body. In this article, we will be taking a look at the new expected addition to the Apple family and how it performs on paper.
For starters, the Apple Xc will consist of a 5.8-inch OLED display, much like the iPhone X. Such as the screen resolution and the pixel density hasn’t been made public yet. However, it will most probably have the iOS 11 operating system. This all seems good on paper, but where X fails to achieve the appreciation of its users because of the little black border at the top of the phone, which seem to block most of the contents. So if you’re watching a movie, anything appearing in that part will get covered out. This is a problem in itself and a serious design flaw. The iPhone Xc, much like the X also has a similar design, and it goes without saying the kind of reception it will get at the hands of the public. Also, anything made of plastic gives a huge blow to its build quality and paying such a premium price for the plastic build is kind of insane.
Also like the iPhone X, the Xc variant is supposed to be powered by the Hexa Core A11 processor clocked at 2.33GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Now Apple has always been at the forefront of technology, in terms of processing power and raw performance stats. Other companies have tried to compete but none have been able to match the sheer speed of the iOS. However, Apple seemed to have redesigned to their UI quite a lot in the iPhone X and it highly likely that the Xc will also follow suit. Apple lovers and users haven’t accepted these changes all too likely and it is certain that the Xc won’t be appreciated as well. On top of that, there is no fingerprint sensor and face ID unlock is often times buggy. Not having an external storage also hurts the device, but since its Apple, they won’t be introducing one anytime soon. The Xc seems to be a great device, stats wise. Other than that, in terms of performance and usability, it's following the footsteps of something that wasn’t all that popular. Only time will tell if it becomes a viable choice in the future.
The iPhone Xc is supposed to have two 12 MP sensors at the rear and a 7 MP shooter at the front. All of the cameras will support 1080p video recording @30fps, with the rear camera going all the way up to 4K video recording resolution. Other features include Optical Image Stabilization, panorama, autofocus, panorama, still image videos. That like GIFs but a are actual photos in much greater details. There is nothing to complain when it comes to the camera department. Apple has always delivered a superb camera experience. The dual camera trend was also started by this company as well. Nonetheless, we are expecting the Xc to have the supreme camera capabilities like its predecessor.
In terms of audio and video codex, the iPhone Xs will support MP3, AAX+, AIFF, WAV, MP4, H.265, and FLV. Supports for other formats can be availed with the help of a third party app.
The iPhone Xc is supposed to be powered by a 2716mAH Li-Po battery, which seems frugal when compared to some of the battery giants out there. The device will also have a single sim support along with along with 4G VOLTE capabilities and NFC.
