According to a recent report, Asus is set to launch six new smartphones under its ‘Zenfone 4’ series, and the one among them is Asus Zenfone 4 Pro. All the smartphones of Zenfone 4 series are the successors of Zenfone 3 series that were released last year. The Zenfone 4 Pro is expected to be a medium range Android based smartphone which is not yet officially revealed by the company. Hence, we are still not familiar with all the features that the phone is expected to bring along. The 4 Pro might come in three colors, viz., Black, Silver, and Gold.

Though the dimensions of the phone are not yet known, the leaked images reveal that the design of Zenfone 4 Pro is not innovative. It is almost similar to that of the predecessor versions. The rear panel has a textured pattern on its metallic body, and dual cameras with flash are also placed in the top middle.

According to the unofficial sources, the phone might sport an IPS LCD Capacitive Touch Screen display which is covered with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla glass. The display size of the screen is 6-inches that also supports multi-touch. Due to its huge display, the phone might be referred to as Phablet. The big sized screen hosts 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The bigger screen size and the HD display will not disappoint the gamers. With an expected weight of 164 grams, it is not heavy to hold in hand.

The Zenfone 4 Pro will run Android v7.1 Nougat with an octa-core processor. It is backed by 4GB of RAM which is a regular capacity in almost every other phone from the same price range. Though further details on the configuration are not revealed, the phone is expected to give a lag-free performance to the users. The device secured is covered by a fingerprint scanner which might be embedded on the front screen. Like the previous models of Asus, the phone is expected to be of Dual SIM that supports Micro + Nano SIM type.

The phone comes in only one variant of 64GB, and the same can be expanded upto 128GB using one of the dual SIM slots.

The features of the camera would be the USP for this smartphone. The leaked images reveal that the phone might host dual cameras on the rear side. But the resolution of the cameras is still not known. The dual cameras are assisted with a flash to give poster quality clicks even in terrible weather conditions. The front shooter is of 13-megapixels which will also be supported by an inbuilt flash. The cameras are feature-enriched as they are loaded with touch focus, tri-focus, face detection, HDR, and much more. The front camera can produce beautiful selfies as well as offer HD video calling facility. Even videos can be recorded with the resolution of 1080 pixels.

The Zenfone 4 Pro would come with an inbuilt loudspeaker, 3.5mm headphone jack, audio and video players, as well as FM radio.


The upcoming Asus Zenfone 4 Pro is backed by a non-removable Li-Po battery. Though the capacity of the phone’s battery is not confirmed, it is expected to be huge along with a quick charging feature.
