After the recent release of Zenfone 5 (2018), there is a rumor that Asus may plan to release the updated version of it, Zenfone 5 Lite. The device may run on Android Oreo 8.1 OS. Along with 64-bit octa-core processor, Asus upcoming smartphone is expected to feature high-end cameras. The rear, as well as front cameras, are bound to host dual cam feature along with LED flash. Another important feature is that the device may host four sensors, two in the front and two on the back side.
The manufacturer is planning to target medium range of premium Android users. The phone is expected to be declared officially in the month of March 2018. It may be available in different colors like Moonlight White, Midnight Black, and Rouge Red. All the color variants will be priced same.
Asus Zenfone 5 Lite is expected to be wrapped in the metallic body which gives a premium look. In the leaked images, the phone appears to be curved on the edges which make it easy to hold. The dual primary camera with LED flash is placed on the rear side, followed by a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The emblem is placed on the bottom of it.
On the front side, the phone hosts a 5.7-inches wide IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 1080*2160 pixels. The screen is expected to be covered with Corning Gorilla glass so that it can be protected from scratches. The legitimacy of the display is very bright and clear to watch videos or images. The dual selfie shooters are placed on the front side along with LED flash. The power button and volume controller are placed on one side of the phone for easy access.
The Zenfone 5 Lite is expected to be another powerful variant from Asus. The company is known to release quality products with robust configuration. The rumored device may be loaded with an Octa-core processor of the 64-bit chipset and accompanied with 3GB of RAM. You can expect fast seamless performance even while doing multitasking. The phone comes with a default storage capacity of 32GB which is sufficient enough to download a required number of apps and save maximum information. Even if someone goes short of this, the memory is expandable up to 256GB by inserting microSD card in the dedicated card slot.
The successor of Zenfone 5 is expected to run on the latest Android OS, i.e., Oreo 8.0v. The phone also features four imaging sensors placed two each on front and back of the device. It is equipped with dual SIM slot that ensures internet connection upto 4G along with VoLTE.

The device can play different audio formats like MP3, WAV, eAAC+ player and video formats like MP4 and H.264 player. It may also host default FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
The battery capacity of Asus Zenfone 5 Lite is of 3200mAh which is non-removable Li-ion type. The battery can easily last for a day’s usage. There is no confirmation about the quick charging feature available on the phone.
The rumored device of Asus would host dual SIM slots of which one is Nano size and the other can be used for inserting microSD card or SIM. The wireless connectivity options include GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2v, EDR, etc. The wired connectivity can be made using the micro USB Type C.
The device is embedded with many sensors that include fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
