The blackberry leaps come with Blackberry OS 10.3.1 with a highly designed Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset and a Dual Core 1.5 GHz Krait processor. The processing of the phone is just fairly fine; it comes with Adreno 225 which lets it drive the videos of 1080p and heavy games. The phone seems to work nicely in the beginning but with the passage of time the processors appear to get slow, and little lag and interruption observed in the phone. The phone is 4G compatible which makes it all trendy and up to date. The phone is available in mainly 2 colour variants, namely black and white. The phones has other more features like Accelerometer, proximity sensors in the phone with an SMS, MMS, Email, Push email, IM, BBM. Messaging features on the phone with an HTML5 browser and Java MIDP 2.1 compatible and active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Blackberry maps, organizers, photo and video editor.
The blackberry leap has an 8-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and LED flash in the phone and produces amazing high definition pictures with fine details and natural colour portrait. The front camera is a 2-megapixel camera but captures cool selfies; the wide screen of the phone lets the secondary camera take a groupfie which is in trend amongst the youth these days. The phone is an amazing piece of work by the blackberry.

The primary camera is really good, as it captures fine details in the images; it is also capable of taking crisp images in low lighting conditions also. It also features the geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama with a high definition video recording the multimedia features are all up to date with the mobile the speakers of the phone are just average and works well only with headphones. The audio quality of the Smartphone when tested with our headphone was nice, but the same could not say for the speakers. The loudspeakers seem to crackle at full volume, and the sound gets tinny, too.
The battery of the Blackberry leap is a nonremovable LI-Ion 2800 mAh battery with a nice battery backup with a talk time standby of up to 25h.By using the various power saving profiles present in the software, you can extend the battery life considerably. The battery provides enough juice to run the phone for one day with moderate to heavy usage per charge. Talking about connectivity options, the phone does support 4G for 2300MHz and 1800MHz frequency. The phones come with a Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, EDR, LE with A-GPS and FM Radio and WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 and Wi-Fi hotspot.
The memory of the Blackberry leap has an internal 16 GB storage which is further expandable up to 256 GB via dedicated slot provided in the phone. The phone has a 2 GB RAM, which is used for a normal processing in the phone but not capable of producing lag free games and videos. The device is fast, but not as fast as the flagship phones of Sony and HTC
