Gionee is all set to add a new smartphone to their family, which can be said as another variant of their own M6. Gionee M6 has released just a few months ago, and within a matter of 3 to 4 months, they will be releasing Gionee M6 Mini. The name 'Mini' doesn’t mean it will be a much smaller version of M6. The screen size will be marginally short, but other specifications will be a notch below than those of M6’s. In comparison to M6’s 5.5 inch AMOLED Full HD display, the M6 Mini will feature a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. After the release of M6 Mini, Gionee will have three smartphones under this series. Gionee’s standard phone M6 and premium phone M6 Plus are already out in the market, and very soon a budget friendly M6 Mini will be made available to the public. As Gionee smartphones are known for their good quality cameras, the selling point of M6 Mini will be its 13-megapixel primary camera, along with its sleek design. No compromises will be made with the RAM, as we will get 3 GB of it in this device. Let us have a look at it and try to find out what else M6 Mini might have to offer –
There is no doubt about the design department of Gionee, as they have been known to launch some of the most beautiful phones in the past few years. They did a wonderful job with the design of Gionee M6 and Gionee M6 Plus, and they have retained the same in M6 Mini. The phone will have round edges. The phone will be built on an alloy chassis, just like M6 and M6 Plus. On the top left, the primary camera on the back will be equipped with single LED flash beside it. The camera doesn’t seem to be bulging out at all in its leaked images. So, it will be safe to keep the phone down without having to worry about scratches on the lens. The back panel will be made of metal, with plastic strips on its both ends. The speaker will be placed on the back, just below the back panel. At the front, there is no home key at the centre. Instead, the Android capacitive buttons are placed at the front. The power button and volume rocker will be positioned on the right-hand side. On top, there will be a 5-megapixel front camera beside the earpiece. We are not yet sure if we will have slots for SIM cards and microSD card on the left, or they will be placed under the back panel. At the bottom, there will be the microUSB 2.0 slot. The 3.5 mm audio jack will be featured on top. The screen will be a 5.3 inch HD display, with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, with the pixel density of 277ppi.
As the phone is yet to hit the markets, we know little about the configuration of M6 Mini. As far as the rumours are concerned, Gionee M6 Mini will run on 3 GB of RAM, with octa-core CPU clocking at 1.5 GHz. The internal memory is expected to be at least 32 GB. Leaked pictures show that it has a microSD card slot, and it will accept memory cards with capacity up to 256 GB. The phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Gionee M6 Mini will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera on its back with an aperture of f/2.0. It is speculated to be autofocus enabled. It will have a single LED flash beside it, which will help in taking photos and record videos in low lighting conditions. The image quality on this phone is yet to be reviewed, which can only be possible after its release when we will get our hands on it. The camera app is supposed to have all the basic options such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. The primary camera will be able to record 1080p videos at 30 fps. The phone will also have a 5-megapixel front camera.
The M6 Mini will have a 4000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It will be an LTE-enabled phone. Remaining connectivity options will be Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, IR, FM Radio and microUSB 2.0.
