Gionee has been able to launch some pretty interesting smartphones in the market. Their smartphones have amazing specifications on top of eye-catching design and high build quality. Recently, it was known that Gionee would be launching two new smartphones i.e. Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T in the markets. The Gionee S9 would be the successor of the Gionee S8, while the Gionee S9T would have a little better specs than Gionee S9. According to the online reports, the Gionee S9T would have a better SoC compares to Gionee S9, however, would weigh slightly more than Gionee S9. So, let’s see how the upcoming Gionee S9T would turn out to be in real life.
Looking at the leaked images online, the Gionee S9T looks exactly similar to the Gionee S9. It is believed that the Gionee S9T would feature with a 2.5D curved glass and would be having a physical home button at the bottom part of the front panel of the phone. The power and the volume buttons shall be provided on the right edge of the phone, while the SIM card tray is expected on the left edge of the phone. The design of the phone looks much inspired by the iPhone 7, as in with the use of piano-glass back and locating the antenna band at the bottom edge of the phone. The phone is expected to be launched in two colour variants i.e. black and gold colour. The external dimensions of the phone are expected to be 154.2 (H) x 76.4 (W) x 7.4 (T) mm and the phone is expected to weigh 200.8 g. The phone is expected to feature with a 5.5-inches full HD display that would provide a screen resolution of 1920×1080 resolution. The FHD display provided in the phone would make sure that the users would have an ultimate viewing experience.
According to the online reports, the phone shall feature a 2.0GHz Octa-core processor that would be backed by a 4GB of RAM. The exact specifications of the processor are not available at the present moment. However, we believe that the phone might feature with Qualcomm’s latest chipset that shall provide Clear Sight support for the unique dual camera setup provided in the phone. It is also believed that a 64GB of internal storage would be provided in the phone and the memory could be expanded up to 128GB using the second hybrid SIM card slot provided in the phone. Though we cannot comment on the performance of the phone beforehand, however, if the phone features with the next gen Qualcomm chipset, then one can easily expect a power packed performance from the phone. The phone is expected to run on Android OS, that too Android version 6.0.1 i.e. Marshmallow. The phone shall allow dual SIM compatibility and would support 4G/LTE networks.
According to the online reports, the phone shall feature a unique dual-rear camera which would house a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors accompanied with an LED flashlight. If the Gionee does use the latest Qualcomm’s technology, then the smartphone might feature an RGB (colour) and a monochrome sensor, which in turn would help its users to capture highly detailed images. About the front shooter, it’s believed that the phone shall come with a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The camera specifications look very promising, and one can easily expect the phone to catch some highly detailed images. The phone would feature with the loudspeaker and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It is believed that the phone would feature with a 3000mAh li-Polymer battery. The battery shall be non-removable according to online reports. There is no information if the battery would support quick charging or wireless charging, however, we can expect that the battery shall support both of them. The connectivity options shall include 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.1, A-GPS, NFC and microUSB 2.0. The other sensors that are expected to come with the phone include a Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
