HTC has been able to launch one of the best flagships ever in the smartphone market. The company tends to price its smartphone at the higher end of the spectrum and tries to innovate its smartphones. Just like Apple, HTC has also been able to acquire a decent fan following, and HTC loyalists cannot buy any other smartphone except HTC. Well, we don’t mind that and why won’t people wait for HTC smartphones. HTC smartphones offer a power-packed performance along with a lot of perks too. HTC 10, one of the best flagship of HTC, was launched in May 2016 and it garnered a lot of positive reviews. Recently, it has been rumoured that HTC is working on the successor of HTC 10 and people are already getting excited. So, let’s see how this smartphone might turn out to be in real life.
It is rumoured that the phone would feature the same iconic curved display and premium look as that of HTC 10. We believe that the phone shall come with the same unibody design and would feature with the same rich exterior. The HTC 10 was a gorgeous looking phone, and we hope that this phone would look even better. However, we do hope that this phone would not be as slippery as its predecessor. According to the online rumours, the HTC 11, would feature with a 5.5-inch QHD curved display that would provide a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The QHD display would feature around 570ppi and we can easily say it would be one of the best parts of the phone. We certainly hope that the display would have a Corning Gorilla Glass protection, just like its predecessor.
At the present moment, we do not have any information regarding the processor or the chipset that would be provided in the phone, but we can surely expect that it would be top notch. Just like HTC 10 we can expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 chipset but maybe a higher end. The HTC 10 featured with an Octa-core processor which might be kept same in the HTC 11 too; however, it is yet to be confirmed. If the specs turn out to be same or even better, then we can surely expect an amazing performance. Playing heavy apps and videos won’t be a problem and playing heavy 3D games would be certainly an enjoyable experience. The phone is expected to run on Android platform and we hope it would feature with latest Android version i.e. Nougat. The HTC 11 will house 6GB of RAM along with 32GB and 64 GB internal memory variants. The same can be expanded up to 2TB with the help of memory card slot as similar to that of HTC 10. The phone might support only single SIM, however, it would support 4G networks.
It has been rumoured that the HTC 11 might feature with a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The primary camera’s specifications look same as the one provided by HTC 10; however, we believe that a better sensor would be provided in the HTC 11. Just like HTC 10, the camera shall feature with laser autofocus and dual colour dual-LED flashlight. The camera features would include Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection and Touch to focus. Shooting modes should include Continuous Shooting and High Dynamic Range mode (HDR). HD video recording would be done at frames like 3840x2160 @ 30 fps, 1920x1080 @ 60 fps, 1280x720 @ 120 fps. The camera quality of the HTC 10 was very impressive, and we expect nothing less from the HTC 11. The audio quality of the HTC 10 was commendable, and we hope the HTC 11 will carry the legacy forward. A 3.5 mm jack is also expected to be provided with the phone.
One of the places where the HTC 10 lagged was the battery life, as the 3000 mAh battery provided in the phone was not enough for the phone. However, we most certainly hope that the battery backup would be considerably improved in the new HTC 11. It is expected that the HTC 11 would also support Quick Charging just like its predecessor. Talking about connectivity options, the phone is expected to feature with Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n/n 5GHz, Wi-Fi Direct, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. A fingerprint scanner is also expected to be provided in the home button, just like the one provided by HTC 10. The other sensors that are expected in the phone are the Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope.
