Launched in February 2016, HTC Desire 630 is packed with a 5-inch screen, which is 720p HD and has a Super LCD. The phone was launched in two models, one being a single SIM model and the other one is a dual SIM model. Both the smartphones have the same specifications, with only SIM capacity differentiating one from the other. HTC launched these phones alongside a bag full of other phones whose specifications were mediocre and not so great. The HTC Desire 630 was their mid-range release in the Mobile World Congress. HTC phones have a different look. HTC has used micro-spray, which paints the polycarbonate exterior of every single handset with a unique paint pattern. Every single unit has a unique back panel, which is quite amazing. Apart from that, the HTC Desire 630 has stereo speakers and with 16GB of internal storage, it has 2GB of RAM. Let us dig in and take a deeper look at this new launch from HTC.
If you are sick of your smartphone resembling that of everybody’s, then HTC Desire 630 is the solution to your problem. Every single unit of HTC Desire 630 looks unique, with a manufacturing process which sprays each one with paint from a continuously changing nozzle. The result of it is the phone’s polycarbonate back panels all get splattered in a unique way. Other than that, HTC Desire 630 has a very simple look. It has a lock button on the right and just above it; there is the volume rocker. On the left, there are SIM and microSD card trays. At the bottom, there is the stereo speaker grill, just below the HTC logo. The primary camera is at the back top left corner and just under it, there is the flash. HTC has included the lanyard strap for personal flair. This lanyard hole is positioned on the back, at the bottom left and it fits in numerous accessories. The soft grip frame is very comfortable to use and gives a solid feeling in the palm. The dimensions of the phone are 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm and it weighs 140 gm.
At the front, there is a 5" touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. It is a Super LCD with a pixel density of 294 ppi.
The HTC Desire 630 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, which is backed by 2GB RAM. The internal memory on this phone is 16GB, which can be expanded by the microSD card slot provided. On the back, it has a 13 MP Autofocus primary camera, with f/2.4 aperture. There is also an LED flash on the back. At the front, for selfies and video calling, it has a secondary camera of 5 MP, with f/2.8 aperture. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 2200 mAh removable battery. The HTC Desire 630 comes in two models; one is a single SIM model, and the other has Dual SIM feature. Both the phones support 4G network. It also has Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and FM. The sensors on the phone are Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
The primary camera on the back of HTC Desire 630 is a 13-megapixel camera, with autofocus. The cameras of HTC have been known for their good picture quality, and Desire 630 carries that pride as well. The primary camera takes wonderful pictures both outdoor and indoor. The autofocus works like a charm and helps in taking better pictures. It takes great looking photos and videos both, and it features a built-in Photo Editor function which lets you easily add effects such as Double Exposure to the photos. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera, which can also record 1080p videos. This front cam has some unique features like Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie, and Live Makeup. Although, the camera app features Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.
The HTC Desire 630 comes with a superb 24-bit/193kHZ, Boom Sound with Dolby Audio Tech and Hi-Res Audio Certified. You can take your music, film and games to the next level with the clear vocal, deep bass, and excellent audio detail.
The HTC Desire 630 has a 2200 mAh Lithium-ion removable battery. The battery backup will be tested soon after the phone gets released, but we already know a lot about the battery backup of this phone. You should not expect much from the battery department of this phone. The battery is pretty small for a phone having 5 inch Super LCD and stereo audio speakers. HTC claims that you can play games and watch films with super clear sound, but with 2200 mAh battery, after watching one movie, I don’t think the phone will be able to last for more than half an hour. According to the specifications and battery size, the phone will require charging at the end of the day on normal usage. And if you listen to music or watch a movie or even play some game, the battery wouldn’t last more than 4 to 5 hours. There is battery saving mode, but it would not be able to pass the night on 10 percent battery.
The phone comes with dual SIM and single SIM models. Both have one sim supporting 4G. Other connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot; Bluetooth v4.1, A2DP; A-GPS, GLONASS and microUSB v2.0.
The main attraction of this phone, I assert, is its speakers. They are the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of HTC Desire 630 and are one of its Pros, along with the unique back panel. Quite un-astonishingly, the battery is the biggest con.WHAT WE LIKED
