HTC is one of the best and emerging brand of the present day world. One M9 Plus phone of HTC brand was launched in April 2015. It got huge applause from critics and its users equally. Its high quality display and huge memory capacity make this phone favorite among the users. Though you should not forget its battery life too.
HTC One M9 Plus is awesome when it comes to design and display. It comes in Gunmetal Gray, Silver Gold and Amber Gold colours. In order to accommodate the larger display of 5.2”, the body of One M9 plus was expanded to certain extent. The phone is 6mm wide and 2mm taller and is not huge to not to fit in your pockets. The weight of M9 plus is 168 gms compared to only 157g of that of M9. Although for sure, that you will never ever realize this increased weight.
Like M9, the phone is encased entirely in metal, with a one-piece construction. The M9 Plus model is also available in silver brushed metal back with polished rose gold edges, along with regular silver or gunmetal gray colors. The One M9 is certainly gives the feeling of the most premium Android phones and M9 Plus is no doubt far behind than this.
The iconic Boomsound speakers are occupied on the front side above and below the display. The speakers are not just physically larger than other phones, but are forward faced to make us clear that the sound is of better audio quality. The fingerprint scanner is located in the middle of the bottom speaker and for that reason, that speaker was made smaller. The display isn't just bigger but comes with a 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution, which is a significant boost over the 1,920x1,080-pixel screen on the regular M9. While the M9 has a decent pixel density of 440 pixels per inch, the M9+ smashes with a whopping 564 ppi. With a super-superior quality screen and another unique finger impression sensor, the HTC One M9+ has two components that align it more with its primary adversary, the Samsung Galaxy S6. The all-metal configuration looks just as shocking as it did on the standard One M9 as well. The fundamentally bring down battery life assessment is stressing nonetheless, and the arrival of the pair camera won't mean much if picture quality hasn't been tended to.
HTC One M9+ has Android OS, v5.0.2 (Lollipop), planned upgrade to v6. 0 (Marshmallow). Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 is its chipset. Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 is its amazing CPU. Its GPU is PowerVR G6200. It has microSD slot of 128 GB capacity. It has internal storage capacity of 32 GB and RAM of 3 GB. When it comes to applications’ functioning it works supremely well without lagging much.
It has a good camera if not of excellent quality. HTC One M9+’s primary camera is of 20 mega pixels which is expandable for more 2.1 mega pixels. It is of 28 mm. It has autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash features. Its secondary camera is 4 mega pixels. It has market dependant NFC too. Vibration; MP3 and WAV ringtones are its sound alert types. It includes loudspeaker with stereo speaker and 3.5mm jack.
HTC One M9 Plus is the phone which has quite a few rivals on which we should have a look on. HTC M9 is its previous version and also its competitor. The M9 Plus has high resolution display but HTC M9 is a splash proof phone. When compared with HTC One E9 Plus this phone has an advantage due to HDMI connector for TV-out facility but E9 Plus edges as it has dual sim support.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is also one of its nearest competitors. HTC One M9 Plus’ HDMI connector for TV-out gives it an advantage but Samsung Galaxy S6’s thin body, measuring less than 7.5mm/0.3inches and small dimensions helps it to edge HTC One M9+. Samsung Galaxy S6 lacks microSD slot for storage expansion which is its biggest disadvantage. Premium and attractive design, crystal clear High resolution display, two-toned metal design, excellent build quality and decent camera are the amazing pros of this phone. One must go for this phone if they are looking at these features specifically. It has a few cons too which gives the phone a bit of disadvantage. It has a poor battery. So battery lovers can get disappointed. Critics also say it is bit over priced so, it works to its disadvantage. But the phone can impress camera lovers.
