HTC U Play has a rather fresh design, it boasts a beautifully designed, liquid surface that provides a cool look to the phone. The best part about the design of the phone, is that it has a symmetrical construction and has a unique way to transform light as its user turns it. As can bee seen from the images, the volume rocker and power buttons are provided on the right edge of the phone and a physical home button has been provided just below the display provided in the front. The stereo speaker has been provided on the bottom edge. The phone is available in four color variants i.e. Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink, Ice White and Sapphire Blue. The FHD display will provide a pixel density of about 428 ppi that would be more than just enough to provide an amazing display to the phone. A high pixel density means the phone has a very good sunlight legibility. The super LCD display will be able to provide amazing viewing angles too. Overall, the phone seems to have a fresh design and a cool display.
The phone will feature an Octa-core (4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.1 GHz Cortex-A53) processor backed by a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset. While shooting, you may take snapshots using Video Pic (capture a 2-megapixel photo while recording Full HD 1080p video). The phone's front camera has a resolution power of 16-megapixels with UltraPixel™ mode & 1 µm pixels. The front camera, is however fixed-focus, though comes with a BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 26.5mm focal length for ultra wide photos. The front camera has been optimised for selfies with featuers like face detection, auto-selfie, voice selfie, selfie panorama and live makeup. The front camera, is capapble of Full HD 1080p recording too. A loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm jack with active noise cancellation and dedicated mic shall also be provided with the phone. The loudspeaker makes enough sound for you to talk clearly with the phone couple of feet away.
