We have seen miracles happen now and then and that includes smartphones which are themed around a famous car. Huawei looked at this prospect and decided to make flagship device out of it. Their new and recent device is a Porsche variant of the existing Mate 10. Nothing has changed much rather than the stunning looks and the beautiful black design. The device is a show stealer the moment you set your eye on it. The Porsche variant of the Mate 10 was released in the October of 2017 and has grabbed the attention of a lot of people around the community. Though not just in looks, the Porsche variant also packs some decent hardware to go along with it. Most people are speculating that Huawei did this to boost their popularity around the globe, and so far, it seems that they have managed to do a great at it.
When it comes to the design of the Porsche (we will be referring to the device by this name) it stunning to say the least. The device sports a 6.00-inch massive display and a screen to body ration of a whopping 80.9%. It also has AMOLED screen and a resolution of 1080 x 2016 pixels. The pixel density standing at 402 PPI isn’t outstanding like the rest of the specs, but, is good enough to get the job done. The Porsche also has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and unibody design is nothing but breathtaking. An aluminum frame with glass at the back. The premium vibe which this device gives off is nothing short of amazing. It’s a device that adds prestige to your status and separates you from the rest of the crowd. The corning gorilla glass protection will ensure a scratch-free experience, just, make sure not to drop the device too often.
Under the hood, the Porsche is powered by an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor and a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU for that seamless and powerful animation transition. It also has a whopping 6GB of RAM and an internal memory of 256 GB. The Porsche doesn’t have an external memory slot but the lack of it is somewhat made up by the huge internal storage it's offering. It will also have Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box which is a given when you consider the overall design of the device. The design and power the Porsche offers are plain and simply amazing. There have been no lags and stutters in terms of performance whatsoever. Whether it’s gaming or switching in between apps, the 6 GB of RAM makes everything look like a walk in the park. With an average score of 150k on the Antutu benchmark, it’s hard to find a fault in the performance of the device. Even the fingerprint sensor is said to work at lightning fast speeds. The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche is also HDR10 compliant and has the new and improved EMUI 8.0 which, is super helpful and pleasing to the eyes when you’re fidgeting with your device for long hours.
The Porsche will be sporting dual rear sensors, one of them being a 20 MP camera and the other a 12 MP camera. Other features include an aperture of f/1.6, phase detection and laser autofocus, a dual tone flash, Leica optics and 2x lossless zoom. Video recording is supported at 2160p@30fps and also 1080p@30fps. The 1080p video recording mode also supports 60fps recording. The front camera is an 8 MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.
The Porsche doesn’t have any FM radio and supports a wider range of audio and video codecs. In terms of audio, it supports MP3, eAAC+, WMA, WAV formats and for videos it has DivX, XviD, MP4, H.264, and WMV.
The Porsche comes with a non-removable Li-Po 4000mAh battery which is enough for the whole day on average usage. The device has dual sim support along with 4G VOLTE capabilities. Add to that an IP67 certification and you have got a beast of a device that also looks premium on the outside.
