Huawei is well known for making well-endowed phones while not burning a hole in your pocket. The Taiwanese company hit it big with the P 9 last year and this year, it has confirmed its next phone in the series. Huawei P10 is all set to release in April next year as a part of the companies’ summer launch. A lot of rumours and speculations have arisen regarding the phones’ features including a front facing ultrasonic touchscreen. A lot of its features are however similar to its predecessor. In this review, we take a look at some of these rumours and give you details as to what the phone might really have.
Like Huawei P9 Plus, the Huawei 10 should have a 5.5 inch Quad HD display multi touch screen. Huawei has been treading the boundaries between a phablet and smartphone very carefully with its display sizes. It also said to come with a screen resolution of 2550 X 1440 which translates to a pixel density of 523 ppi. Similar to the Huawei P9 it is also rumoured to have a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for extra screen protection. The exciting feature that the smartphone will come with is an ultrasound fingerprint sensor which has changed positions from the P9 to the front of the phone, added in the home button similar to the special edition of Mate 9 Porsche. One of the leaked colours for the phone is Rose Gold.
The Huawei P10 is expected to come with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat version overlapped with company’s own EMUI 5.0 skin. It is expected to have a Kirin 960 processor. It is likely since Huawei uses only Kirin processor. The processor has some major advantages over the Snapdragon processor like better downloading speed up to 600 Mbps and upload speed up to 150 Mbps. It also offers a 65% increase in efficiency and 40% decrease in power consumption. It uses a 16nm chipset like used in IPhone technology. It also rumoured to offer a 6 GB RAM and an internal storage of a whopping 256 GB. This is will increase its performance and speed giving the users an experience equivalent to that offered by IPhone 7 and IPhone 7 Plus. The GPU that they are rumoured to offer is a Mali T830. Overall, the phone should easily chug through average requirements. The phone should be able to run high end apps and games like Asphalt.
It is yet to be confirmed whether the Leica certified camera will be present in the smart phone. The Leica, which helped the Chinese company sell around 9 million Huawei P9 smartphones within 5 months of its release, should be present as the company won’t let go of that venture this soon. Leaked photos have confirmed that the phone will come with a dual Leica Camera but it will have an 8 MP front camera according to a leaked engineering sample. The Leica Mark Certification has added a certain popularity since most other smartphone don’t usually market their Camera makers; this adds an extra validation to the camera. The German maker has added a special frame that can cram two cameras into one. This will give better video and image resolution and image stabilisation.
The smartphone is all set to come with a 3000 mAh Battery which will complement the other splendid features it supports. The battery will be equipped with a 6 to 7 hour of talk time. The phone should also support fast charge. The performance might be further reduced due to the heating problems caused by the Kirin chipset.Huawei is well known for making well-endowed phones while not burning a hole in your pocket.
