Huawei P9 Plus was announced in the month of April 2016 and was released in May this year. It is targeting the Android market of the Smartphone users with the high-income group. The phone is claimed to be the improved version of the Huawei P9.
The body dimension of the phone is 152.3*75.3*7 mm and weighs about 162 grams. It is available in various colours like Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Silver, Pink, Black and Quartz Grey. The corning gorilla glass 4 protects the screen of a smartphone . With multi-touch features, the screen is a Super AMOLED in nature including 16M colours. The size of the screen is 5.5 inches, which is equivalent to 73% of the screen to body ratio. With the 3D touch display and emotion UI 4.1, the resolution of the screen is 1080*1920 pixels which are equivalent to 400 ppi pixel density.
Android version 6 (Marshmallow) is the operating system of the phone, and it contains the HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset. The CPU is the Quad-core processor of 2.5 GHz Cortex A72 and the 1.8 GHz Quad-core with Cortex A53.The GPU is Mali T880 MP4. The internal memory of the phone is 64 GB with the RAM of 4 GB. With two SIM slots, it possesses microSD card slot where the memory is expandable up to 256 GB.
With the high-speed processor, the overall performance of the phone is considered to be good. Some unique sensor features are also present, like the Gyroscope sensor, proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor, Hall Effect sensor, G-sensor, compass and ambient light sensor.
The rear or the primary camera is Dual 12 megapixel with f/2.2 and the lens measures around 27 mm. It has features like dual LED and dual tone flash, smile/face detection, Leica optics, touch focus, geo-tagging, panorama, and phase detection autofocus. With the dual lens, the focus can be adjusted properly. The front or the secondary camera is about 8 MP f / 1.9 with autofocus and 1080 p. The video facilities can support 1080p@30fps.
The loudspeaker is present including the stereo speakers on the phone. The sound jack is of 3.5 mm, and it supports 192 KHz/ 24-bit audio functions. It possesses a dedicated microphone with the active noise cancellation features. With MP3 and WAV ringtones, the phone possesses vibration alert modes. The 3G TD-SCDMA supports B34/39 and 3G UMTS supports 800/850/900/AWS/1900/2100 MHz, the 4G TD-LTE supports band 38/ 39/ 40/ B41 ( 100 MHz) and the 4G FDD-LTE supports band 1/ 2/ 3/ 4 / 5/ 6/ 7/ 8/ 12/ 17/ 18/ 19/ 20/ 26/ 28.
The phone also supports various image file formats like the BMP, PNG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, and WBMP. There are image decoding formats like the static GIF, WBMB, PNG, BMP, and WEBP.
