Huawei is one of the world’s leading mobile manufacturing companies. Huawei has been manufacturing phones for the past few years, and has launched a few expensive devices, but their primary focus is the budget segment, where the largest customer base lies. The company recently announced Huawei Y3 2017 smartphone for the budget segment. The main features of the phone are expected to be its appealing design, camera, battery backup and a good processor in this price range. Let us have a look at it deeply about its expected specifications, and find out what else it might have to offer.
Just like other Huawei phones, it is also supposed to be a beautiful device with round edges. It supposed to have a 5-inches capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Although this resolution is very low compared to industry standards, but given the price at which this phone will be launched, we can’t complain. The display will be of IPS LCD type that will show things pretty clear. The expected dimensions of the phone are 145.1 x 73.7 x 9.5 mm, and the weight could be 175 gm. This much weight will make the phone heavy, but heavier phones have been a proof of strong hardware.
A 3.5mm headphone jack will also be installed. Along with the audio jack, there will be the microUSB port for connecting the charger as well as the data cable. It is expected to be dual a sim mobile and will probably be launched in Gold, Grey, Blue, Pink and White colours.
The primary camera is expected to be of 8 MP resolution with LED flash. The front camera will be only of 2MP, and that too may be of without flash. There will be no fingerprint sensor, given that it is a budget level phone.
There is no solid information about the device’s hardware under the hood. Apparently, the phone will be be powered by the Mediatek MT6737М Quad-Core 1.1GHz processor chipset. It will use Mali-T720 MP2 GPU for graphic processing. The device will run on 1GB RAM with 8GB internal memory. The internal memory would be expandable using a MicroSD Card for additional memory upto 128GB.
The primary camera of the phone is expected to be of 8 MP resolution with an LED flash. The camera will provide many of the essential advance features of a smartphone camera like digital zoom, Touch focus, Face detection, High Dynamic Range mode, etc. This camera will come with 3264 X 2448 pixels’ image resolution. The camera can also shoot 1280x720p videos @ 30 fps, allowing sufficient amount of brightness through the f/2.0 aperture lens.
The front camera is expected to be of 2 MP which is a not upto the mark for any photography given the current industry standards, and also there will be no front camera flash. Being a budget smartphone, there is not much that we can expect from the device either. The front camera can shoot 480p videos @ 30 frames per second.
The default audio and video apps can play all the standard audio and video file formats like MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC etc. Besides this, all the messaging services like MMS, E-mail, etc. will also be introduced in the phone. The 3.5 mm audio jack will enable the user to use speakers or headphones to listen to the music. The user can also listen to the FM radio. An HD display will play videos very clearly.
The phone is supposed to be powered by a 2200 mAH Li-ion battery. It is not expected to come with fast charging feature. The phone will be able to connect to PCs with the Micro USB port, using a DB9 connector. The battery will be user replaceable, which is good given the low battery capacity which may run out any time; it will be safe and wise to carry an additional battery with you.
The phone will support all 2G, 3G, 4G, network bands. For wireless connectivity, the phone will support Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, wifi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB 2.0, etc. On the sensors parts, we’ll get the Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, etc. but no fingerprint sensor.
