Intex is also trying to provide this feature in their latest release Cloud Scan FP which is touted to be a budget friendly amount. This is one of those smartphones which have average specifications and low price. Other than that, this phone features a 5-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. The rear camera is autofocus enabled and has a single LED flash for support. It has a 1.2 GHz quad core processor which is backed by 1 GB of RAM, which is just about enough. Intex Cloud Scan FP comes with metallic edges and polycarbonate body. The phone really feels good in the hands as it is light weight and slim. Its dimensions are 146.40 mm x 73.00 mm x 9.65 mm, and weighs 153 gm. The outer body is a little shiny, but it’s not glossy. The primary camera on the back is at the top centre, which has a single LED flash below it and the fingerprint sensor is below the flash. There is nothing else in the back, except the Intex logo at the bottom. On the right, there is the volume rocker at the top, and below it is the power key. The keys look metallic, but they aren’t. At the front, it has the secondary camera on the top right. The capacitive buttons are located below the screen. The microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer are placed at the bottom. The 3.5 mm audio jack is at the top. The phone feels good in the palm. Overall the design is quite good. The phone comes in black, white and pink variants. The screen is a 5 inch FWVGA display and comes with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and has a pixel density of 196ppi.
The configuration department of this phone is just what one could expect from an entry level device. The phone runs on Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset, with a quad-core processor1.2 GHz . The GPU used in this phone is Mali 400 and the RAM used is 1 GB. There is 8 GB of internal storage available, and it can be further expanded using a memory card up to 32 GB. You cannot expect this specs to win any prizes, but it still lines up above the price as it comes with a fingerprint sensor.
Intex Cloud Scan FP offers a fingerprint scanner on its back which is the selling point from Intex.While the phone comes with a low price and offers a fingerprint sensor, there is one flaw in it. This phone isn’t an LTE enable device. Well, this is a drawback which could be a problem for Intex as the number of 4G enabled devices is increasing rapidly this year. The rear camera is capable of recording videos at 720p. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera, which can be used to take selfie pictures and for video calling. The camera app has tonnes of features and filters, such as Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, etc. It has different scene modes as well like landscape, night mode, night portrait or portrait. The image quality is yet to be reviewed.
This phone comes with enough battery to support the specs. It has a 2450 mAh battery underneath the hood, which according to Intex can give up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 110 hours on standby mode. It is a dual SIM phone which supports GSM, CDMA and HSPA networks. Both the SIM slots accept micro Sim. Other basic connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot; Bluetooth 2.1, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio and microUSB 2.0.
