For enabling this protection, Lava has incorporated ASAHI Dragontail Glass. This smartphone comes in two color variations. It comes in the Classic Black and Pure White colors.

To help run this software at its best efficiency, this phone comes with a chipset. The chipset used here is MT6582M. The processing is taken care by a Quad – Core processor (CPU). The make of this processor is the powerful ARM Cortex A7. It performs at a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. It also comes with the Accelerometer and Proximity sensor. The storage specification of this smartphone is quite good too. It comes with an internal storage capacity of 8GB. This 8 GB of ROM is just enough for very mild users. But, to use most of the apps available in the play store today, this 8 GB might cause the phone to lag. Hence, an option to externally extend the storage is available. Using a microSD card the storage can be extended up to a maximum of 32 GB. The RAM capacity of this smartphone is just a mere 1 GB. Hence, it is not very advisable for heavy gamers.
This smartphone comes with two cameras. The primary camera is 8 MP and the front camera is 5 MP. It comes with a dual LED flash which helps enhance the quality of the pictures shot by proving it with ample light when required. The back camera shoots images at a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The front camera is good for selfies and to make video calls to people. Both the cameras can be used to record videos. The primary camera captures videos at the rate of 30fps. Additional features that support the camera are Geo-tagging, auto focus, face detection, HDR, and Panorama. The audio of this smartphone is not very good. There is enough loudness, but the quality of the audio is below average.
This smart comes with a Li - Po battery with a maximum capacity of 2500mAh. This battery is of the now – removable type and is pretty good in performance. It provides a maximum talk time of up to 17 h on 2 G and a maximum of up to 11 h on 3G network. The standby time though is up to 500 h on 2G and up to 480 h on 3G network. It also has the basic wireless connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Lava Iris X8Q is best known for its low-budget and 3G connectivity. The advantages of this smartphone are its battery, low cost, and good display. The disadvantages though are its processor, low RAM memory, and overall build.
