Lenovo seems to be coming up with a zoom by launching smartphones with flagship features. Its ‘K’ series has been proven to be successful and is popular for its notable performance. To continue the success track, Lenovo is coming up with another smartphone, K8 which is also Android based and is affordable too. It might target the budget segment of Android users. Lenovo K8 is the successor of K6 which was released last year.
The K8 is a deca-core device, with 3GB RAM and runs on latest Android 7.1 version. It is expected to be released in standard colors of Black, Gold and Gray. Though from a budgeted range, it might sport high-density camera, clear display, fingerprint scanner and few more exciting features. As of the now, Lenovo has not confirmed the date of launch of K8.
If we have to talk about the design of K8, then it is quite similar to any other phone in its price range and class. The rear panel appears to be acrylic with a primary camera along with flash placed on one side. On the front, it sports selfie camera and speaker on the top and microphone at the bottom. The home button seems to be on the mid-bottom side of the screen along with other navigation buttons on the either side. As of now, we are still not sure about the correct dimensions of the phone. But from the leaked images, we can make out that the phone is handy and easy to hold because of its appropriate size and matt-finish rear panel.
The K8 is expected to host LCD Capacitive Screen that measures 5.2-inches. The screen is expected to be Full HD that can ensure bright and clear display even facing the sun directly.
Lenovo is trying to be at par with the competition. With the same objective, it is now launching smartphones with not just Octa-core processors but more than that. The K8 also is expected to sport a deca-core processor which is a combination of two quad-core processors and one dual-core processor. All the three processors are clocked to 2.3GHz dual core of Cortex A72, one 1.85GHz quad-core of Cortex A53 and another 1.4quad-core of Cortex A53. Having a deca-core processor in a low relatively low priced mobile would be a good deal that the consumers want to make use of. Along with power-packed performance, the phone is also expected to host 4GM RAM which makes the enables smooth performance without any lags.
Lenovo K8 is going to be a dual SIM smartphone, and both the SIMs are expected to support internet connectivity up to 4G. The device offers an internal memory of 32GB which is huge enough to store all your required information and apps. And still, if you find it not sufficient then the storage memory is expandable via microSD card upto 256 GB.
Though not many details are available about the cameras of K8, but according to the leaked sources, the device will host 13 megapixels of a primary camera on the rear side along with LED flash. The camera is expected to offer features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, etc. The front shooter is expected to be of 8 megapixels which can click clear selfies and supports video calling.
Similar to its predecessor, the K8 is also expected to come with stereo speakers along with 3.5mm jack. It would have default FM radio too.
Lenovo has well understood that the battery of any phone can bring up the sales volume, and therefore, they are planning to integrate powerful batteries in their upcoming smartphones. The K8 is also expected to be backed by 4000 mAh battery which is big enough to last for a day or more. The battery is non-removable. As of now, there is no confirmation upon the dash charging feature of the phone.
As it has been ensured that the K8 is dual SIM with 4G internet connectivity, the bands are still not known. The device might also support other connectivity options like Wifi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, WLAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, etc. Among the wired ones, it might host micro USB 2.0.
Though we are still not sure about the sensors, it is any how expected to offer basic sensors like fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, compass and few more.
