Tablets have been a niche market in itself. It has been observed that there has always been a steady demand for them in the markets all over the world. Lenovo has been manufacturing tablets for a long time now and have been able to attract a huge number of customers too. Lenovo has been pretty successful in its tablet business and has launched a range of devices in the markets continuously. Lenovo, will be recently launching another one with the name Lenovo Tab 4 8.0 Plus 16GB Wi-Fi in the coming months. The tablet will offer high utility and would come at an affordable price tag.
The tablet shares the exactly similar design as its sibling, Lenovo Tab 4 8.0. The device has the same eye catching design and looks decent. If we go according to the leaked images online, we can see that the power button is provided on the right edge of the device, while the volume rocker seems to be provided on the left side. It will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The external dimensions of the tablet are 210 x 123 x 7 mm (8.27 x 4.84 x 0.28 in) and weighs 300 grams. It will be available in two color variants i.e. Aurora Black and Sparkling White. One of the major difference between this tab and its sibling (Tab 4 8.0) is the display quality. In this device an 8.0-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has been provided that provides a screen resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. The 283 ppi rich screen will turn out to be visually stunning. The FHD display would make sure that screen gets bright and lovely. The display will certainly provide amazing sunlight legibility and stunning viewing experience.
The tablet will feature an Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor that will be backed by a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset. The processor will turn out to be competent enough to provide a decent experience. One may not observe any lag or stutter even when performing heavy multi-tasking, as the processor has that kind of capability. The Adreno 506 GPU will make sure that all kinds of games and videos would be played on the device without any problem. The internal storage provided is expected to be 16GB, while the memory can be expanded up to 256GB using the microSD card slot provided. 3GB of RAM will be provided in the device, which will be enough running almost all kinds of apps. The tablet will run on Android Operating System, that too on version 6.0 i.e. Marshmallow; however will not supports SIMs, as it's a Wi-Fi only version.
The tablet will feature an 8MP primary camera that will be supported by autofocus and LED flashlight. The front shooter will feature a 5MP camera. The primary camera will be backed by additional features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. Video recording is done by the camera. The camera will work decent enough and the images captured by it would be shareworthy. The rear camera has the potential to capture decent pics. Low light photography is expected to suffer, as a lot of noise might creep in the photographs. The front shooter has the potential to capture decent selfies and can also be used for video calling. The loudspeaker provided in the tablet is expected to get loud enough. A 3.5 mm audio jack is also provided in the tablet. Dolby Atmos audio enhancement would be provided in the device, so that audio quality remains amazing and crisp.
The device will come with a Non-removable Li-Ion 4850 mAh battery that would easily work for a day with heavy usage. The battery is not expected to support wireless or fast charging. The connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/nac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.2, A2DP, LE, A-GPS, FM radio, USB version 2.0 and Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. The sensors that will be included in the tablets are Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, proximity and compass.
