Announced and launched during July this year, Lenovo Vice C2 is a power-packed budget phone in the market. This phone comes with an Android 6, Marshmallow OS, an impressive 5-inch display screen with an 8GB internal storage and 2750 mAh battery. It weighs just about 139 gms. In this review we see what the Lenovo Vibe C2 has to offer:
Vibe C2 comes with a 5-inch display screen with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. And it also comes with an IPS LCD capacitive multi-touch screen. It has a pixel density of 294ppi. The phone weighs only 139g and has dimensions of 143 X 71.4 X 8.6 mm. It is available either in the shades of black or white. The features of this phone are quite low ended compared to other phones in the same price range group.
This smartphone comes with an Android 6.0, version Marshmallow. Another disadvantage of it is it does not support update to Android version 7.0 Nugget. It has a below average Mediatek processor which is very rugged and slow. Compared to other competitors like Snapdragon and Intel, Mediatek does not provide a good platform for most of the phones. Combined with only 1 GB RAM and a 1 GHz processor this phone is little poor on performance and app storage. Other phones even in low budget provide better processing speed and storage. It has 8 GB internal storage with a micro SD card which is expandable up to 32 GB. The architecture provided with the Mediatek processor is a Cortex A530 and a GPU of Mali-T720MP2.
The Lenovo Vibe C2 has an 8 MP front camera with a LED flash and features like autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection. It can take videos at 720p resolution at the rate of 30 frames per second. It has an above average secondary camera of 5 MP. It also uses the 1/4 sensor which is ideal for high-quality pictures and selfies. The phone is also equipped with extra multimedia features such as proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor. Again, we see that the phone has limited features as compared to other phones which also have temperature sensors, barometers and compass.
The Lenovo Vibe C2 has a removable Li-ion battery which has a capacity of 2750 mAh. The battery can easily run for two days with rigorous usage and will give over 10 hours of talk time on 3G network. The phone also has dual sim feature with both 3G and 4G network connections. There is a drawback that this phone does not support 4G in all the countries. The phone also offers a standard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection of 802.11 and version 4 respectively. It also has a GPS and a standard FM Radio with Micro USB 2.0 port. The phone lacks an NFC and Infrared sensor which is available in other Lenovo phones like Vibe P series at the almost same price range. C2 also disappoints in the speaker as it does not provide the expected Dolby Atmos sound system usually present in all Lenovo smartphones. However, it does provide a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack with noise cancellation feature.
