LG Electronics makes electronic appliances as well as smartphones. The company launched its first smartphone in 2009, since that time it's doing better day by day in this field. Most of the mobiles launched by the company are attractive in design and have good features like the advanced operating system, enough memory, etc. Now the company is working on the LG G6 Mini. It supposed to be the small version of company's G6 series with almost same features of this series. The LG G6 Mini offers not just amazing specs; but also features a modular design, which will be a unique feature in the Indian smartphone market. Let’s see in our exclusive LG G6 Mini review if this phone is indeed capable of standing up to the expectation set by its predecessors.
The phone is just like the main G6 phone except it has the small screen and better look than that. It is expected to be with a 5.4-inch QHD touchscreen display that is protected with the Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the device from scratches. The display will of IPS LCD type that will show things pretty clear.
On the front, there will be the fingerprint sensor that would be used for unlocking the device. The Volume Rocker buttons are expected to be at left side. To use the devices like speakers, headphones, etc., a 3.5 mm audio jack will also be there. With audio jack, there will be the USB type-C port for connecting the charger as well as the data cable. It will also support the Quick Charge feature.
The phone is expected to sport a 13MP+13MP dual primary camera module. The flash lens is setup between the both cameras. There is a fingerprint sensor below the camera's setup. The front or selfie camera will be of 5MP, and it may come without flash. It is expected to be dual Sim mobile. The colour variations are Black and Blue.
About the performance of LG G6 Mini, It is expected to come with almost same internal features like G6. It is supposed to run the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It will be powered by quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor. It is supposed to have 4 GB RAM with 64GB internal memory. The internal memory can be expanded using MicroSD card, and that could be upto 2TB (practically up to 256GB). The LG has introduced Adreno 530 GPU in its G6 Mini smartphone. Overall, the G6 fares well in CPU-intensive tasks but scores below average in graphics-specific tests.
The phone is equipped with dual primary cameras of 13MP. The primary cameras will have the LED flash also. The cameras will offer many features like digital zoom, Gesture Shot, Laser Auto Focus, Voice Capture, Face Beauty, Low Light mode, Hi-Fi Video Recorder, etc. The camera can also shoot full HD slow motion and fast motion videos at 30fps. The front camera is expected to be of 5 MP which is a little bit degradable for selfie lovers and also there will be no front camera flash.
The phone is supposed to play all standard audio and video file formats like MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc. All the messaging services like MMS, E-mail, etc. will also be supported. A 3.5 mm audio jack will enable the user to connect speakers, headphones and other devices with 3.5 mm port. The video player supports QSlide; i.e. allows to view your video in a small floating window. You may also manually load a subtitle file and change the font.
The phone will be powered by Li-Po 3000 mAH non-removable battery. The Snapdragon processor consumes less power, So this battery power is enough to keep the device up and running for quite a long time. The phone will come with fast charge feature.
It will support all network bands like 2G, 3G, 4G, etc. The phone is expected to support all the common connectivity features like Wi-Fi with Hotspot, VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, Micro USB, etc. It will also have the Type-C slot for creating wired connections.
