One might have heard about the smartphones sharing our workload but it is for the first time that we are coming across with a smartphone that cares for your health too. LG has introduced a new technology that keeps mosquitoes away; thus caring for your health in a way. The company is planning to launch a new smartphone under the ‘K’ series, i.e., K7i which is a budgetary device and is expected to be released in the month of November 2017. LG seems to target entry-level smartphone users from the Android segment. The K7i comes with a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and average battery capacity. It is dual SIM enabled and comes with feature-enriched cameras at an affordable price.
The K7i from LG has a 5-inches FWVGA IPS display screen which is legitimate enough indoors but does not give a clear display in the outdoor conditions. The phone measures 145.7 x 74.1 x 8.1 mm in dimensions and weighs only 154 grams.
The K71 has been designed with a robust look. The phone which is brown in color has an acrylic panel on the rear side and a metallic colored rim across the curved edges. The primary camera with a flash is placed on the rear side followed by a fingerprint scanner. The ultrasonic ‘mosquito away’ emitting socket is also placed on the lower side of the rear panel. The device comes with an extra rear panel which is embedded with speakers that produce ultrasonic frequencies that drives mosquitoes away. The front side hosts the screen and a selfie camera. The device is comfortable to hold as it weighs less and has an anti-slip panel.
LG claims to be the first company to introduce the ‘mosquito away technology’ in the smartphones. The manufacturer also ensures that no harmful chemicals have been used in this technology, making it quite safe in the user’s hands. This healthy smartphone is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor of 1.1 GHz which is accompanied with a 2GB of RAM. The processor and RAM are just appropriate to the budget.
The LG K7i hosts a huge internal memory space of 16GB that can be used to store the required information on your phone. The internal memory storage is further expandable using microSD card. The device is also shipped with dual SIM cards of nano type and both the slots are equipped to provide 4G internet connectivity. The medium-configured processor might give few lags to the users during multitasking but the memory storage and dual connectivity are a treat at the budgeted price.
Despite being a budgetary phone, LG hasn’t compromised with the camera quality. It hosts an 8MP camera on the rear side accompanied with LED flash to enable low-light photography. The camera is enabled with features like autofocus, digital zoom 4X, etc. It can click sharp and clear pictures. The front shooter is of 5MP which is good enough to click beautiful selfies. It can also be used to perform video calling.
The cameras of K7i can be used to do video recording at 30 frames per second of 1080 pixel density.
The phone can play audios of type MP3, WMA, and WAV, and can also play videos of type WMV and MP4. It is also shipped with FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
LG K7i is boosted with an average 2500 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery which can be easily manageable for a day’s usage.
The device is dual SIM enabled and both the SIMs support internet connectivity of 2G, 3G, and 4G along with EDGE and GPRS. Though a budgeted smartphone, it also provides wide range of wireless connectivity options like Wifi, Wifi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, HotSpot, Bluetooth version 4.1, etc. The device offers USB connectivity of V2.0HS for the wired option.
The K7i is also embedded with sensors like a fingerprint, proximity, and accelerometer.
