Among the new K series smartphones from LG, the most affordable is K8 (2018). The company has announced the launch of this phone in the second month of 2018 and would expect to do so in April 2018. The device is expected to be shipped with a quad-core processor accompanied by 2GB RAM and an average performing battery. The shooters of the smartphone have competitive features and the internal memory storage is also huge. The phone is expected to run on Android Nougat 7.1.2

The phone is expected to be released in attractive colors like Aurora Black, Terra Gold, and Moroccan Blue. All the variants with different colors are priced the same. Let us see what more competitive features this entry-level phone will offe


LG K8 (2018) is wrapped in a plastic body which is curved at the edges. The device is designed in a way that it gives you metallic look. It measures 146.3 x 73.2 x 8.2 mm in dimensions and weighs only 152 grams. This makes it easy to hold in hand as well as in pockets. On the rear side, lies primary camera with LED flash. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The volume and power controllers are placed on a left side.

On the front side, K8 (2018) hosts 5-inches HD IPS display which has good viewing angles. But the outdoor legibility under bright sunlight does seem to be not clear. As of now, there is no information on the protection of the screen with Corning Gorilla glass. The selfie shooter is placed just at the beginning of the display next to speakers. Overall the phone gives a decent look at the images.


The performance of LG K8 (2018) is powered by a quad-core processor which is clocked to 1.3GHz. The processor along with 2GB of RAM can handle multiple performances to a certain extent. The device is enabled with sensors like a fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, and proximity. The fingerprint scanner is rear-mounted which not only unlocks the phone but also acts as a quick shutter to capture photos faster.
