LG Electronics is a South-Korean electronics company that has its presence all over the world and famous for many consumer electronics products and mobile phones. They started a new trend in smartphones and came with modular phones. Their first phone was LG G5 and followed by LG V20 which was modular. It means you can change the battery, camera, speakers and much more and enhance your phone's ability.
However, a recent rumor might indicate that LG is done with modular phones and might come with a traditional phone. According to the recent reports, LG is taking a break from launching flagship phones and concentrating more on mid-range phones. If rumors are to be believed, LG is working on a non-modular phone and could be named as LV5. In some of the leaked renders, LG LV5 looks like G5 minus non-swappable parts. Some of the images available on the internet revealed as it will somewhat carry the same looks as LG G5. We will try to cover as many things we know about LG LV5 so that you can wait for the new mid-range device from LG if you are looking to get a new one in 2017. Check out the details about LG LV5 details below
As we told earlier, LG LV5 might look like G5 with curves on all edges even on the front and back. This design surely makes it stand apart from the crowd, and it will be more rounded that most of the phones coming these days. The back of the phone will be removable, and this clearly indicated that LG LV5 would have the user-replaceable battery. However, the screen size could be bigger that LG G5 and we can expect a 5.5 inches screen with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and 16M colors. The screen resolution has to be around 1440 x 2560 pixels.
If we talk about other design aspects of LG LV5, you can expect that there will be no buttons on the front while the back will be sporting one button. This button will work as a fingerprint sensor and power. Also, the speaker will be located at the front bottom. As LG G5 were available in 4 colors: Silver, Titan, Gold, Pink, you can expect same colors from LG LV5 too.
LG LV 5 is rumored to come with Snapdragon 620 chipset having a quad-core processor and the Adreno 530 GPU. It clearly shows that LG LV5 is a mid-range phone and could be a game changer if it comes in the decent budget. Other than that, LG LV5 will have all the major sensors like Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, Barometer, etc.
The phone will be expected to have 16GB and 32GB internal memory. We can also expect dedicated microSD card slot if you need to increase the storage and it will support microSD card up to 256 GB. It is also expected that LG LV5 will come with 2GB and 3GB RAM variants.
As we already know that LG V20 is already running Android Nougat and eventually it was the first phone with this OS, we can expect that LG LV5 will also run the newest version of Android.
When it comes to camera specifications, there are expectations that LG LV5 comes with the dual-rear camera and makes it first in the mid-range phones from LG that has dual cameras. Expected to have a 16MP camera and 8MP wide-angle lens to those who want to capture more in the single frame. For selfie lovers, LG LV5 might come with the 12MP front camera at least with an addition of front flash for low light conditions.
As per the rumors, LG LV5 will have the user-replaceable battery, but we expect significant battery this time. LG G5 has a 2800 mAh battery, which was actually on the lower end side if we compare to other phones of the same segment. LG LV5 will also support fast battery charging support and will come with the USB Type-C reversible charger.
LG LV5 sports dual SIM slots and both will support Nano SIMs. We do not know yet that both SIM slots will be supporting 4G or not. However, it is good to see that LG LV5 will not come with a Hybrid Dual SIM slot and has dedicated microSD card slot which will support card up to 256 GB.
As far as connectivity options are concerned, LG G5 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n and Bluetooth v4 for wireless connectivity. The phone will also have Accelerometer, Proximity and Ambient Light sensor.
