The phone features a stylish design and shiny exteriors that make this phone have a premium appearance. The phone doesn't feature with a physical home button, and the fingerprint scanner is provided at the back of the phone, just below the primary camera. The stylus could also be found on the phone and could be accessed by pulling it out from the top right edge of the phone. The external dimensions of the phone turn out to be 6.10" (H) x 3.13" (W) x 0.29" (D) and the phone weighs around 147 grammes. The phone’s comfortable hold, slim design topped with In-Cell Zero-Gap Touch display makes the phone rather attractive. Talking about the display of the phone, the phone features a 5.7 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display proves to be bright enough, and the colour reproduction seems to be decent. There is no problem regarding the sunlight legibility of the phone, and the viewing angles seem to be decent too.
This phone comes with a 1.8 GHz Octa-Core processor that is backed by a MediaTek MT6755M processor. The processor is capable enough to provide a decent experience. The phone is capable of playing all kinds of games and videos. However, some frame drop could be observed when heavy games are played on the phone. The phone works on Android version 6.0 i.e. Marshmallow with the help of LG UX 5.0 Home Screen that conveniently places all of the apps on the home screen itself. A 2GB of RAM is also provided in the phone, which we think is decent for this segment of the smartphone. The internal memory provided in the phone is 16GB (of which users get to use around 8.78GB). The internal storage could be expanded up to 2TB using the microSD card slot provided in the phone. The phone offers the support for 4G networks.
The phone features a 13MP Rear-Facing Autofocus Camera and Full HD Camcorder with LED Flashlight. A 5 MP Front-Facing Camera and Full HD Camcorder has also been provided in the phone. The images captured by the camera are decent and shareworthy. The front shooter also takes amazing selfies. Users can take selfies with a simple hand gesture and can make a fist twice to take four selfies in sequence. A soft light is illuminated on the screen around the photo preview for well-lit selfies too. Other features with the camera include adding filters, adjusting brightness, and taking still shots while recording video. Holding the shutter button to take multiple shots quickly and video screenshot capture still shots from a video during playback. Also, using Quick Share one can easily access social platforms instantly after taking pictures and videos. The phone features a loudspeaker which gets loud enough, and a 3.5 mm audio jack has also been provided in the phone.
The battery provided in the phone features a 3000mAh Li-Ion battery and is user replaceable. The battery promises talk time up to 13 hours networks and standby time up to 15.41 days. When the battery was tested in real time, we found that the battery lasted for a complete day with heavy usage. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth version 2.1 and microUSB 2.0.
