LG X300

LG has been continuously producing successful smartphones for quite some time now. The way their smartphones are able to woo customers is impressive and it seems they have found a foolproof formula to make amazing smartphones. Not only they are able to make top-class flagship devices, they have been able to make decent budget segment smartphones, too. The best part about LG smartphones is the fact that they all look rather fresh and are able to stand out among other smartphones. Recently, LG launched its LG X300 smartphone. Not only the smartphone looks amazing, it also carries all the modern amenities needed in a modern smartphone. One need not shell out a huge amount of money to get one too.

The phone looks fairly impressive and also catches user’s attention. The general geometry of the phone consists of a rectangular design followed by some slightly curved edges. The speaker grille is provided on the bottom part of the rear panel and the volume rocker buttons are provided on the left edge of the phone. If we talk about the external dimensions of the device, the device has external dimensions as 144.8 x 72.1 x 8.09 mm. Also the phone weighs 142g, which again is impressive. The device is available in two color variants i.e. Dark Blue and Silver. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner, which is provided on the back panel of the phone. The phone comes with a 5.0-inches IPS LCD Capacitive touchscreen that would provide screen resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels corresponding to around 294 ppi rich screen. The screen looks decent enough to provide an amazing viewing experience. The sunlight legibility is good, as the screen gets bright enough and the viewing angles are fairly impressive too.

The phone features a 1.4GHz quad-core processor that is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset. The phone is also backed by 2GB of RAM. The processor used in the phone is competent enough to play light games and apps on the phone seamlessly. However, when running multiple heavy apps, users might find some lag whenever using heavy applications. The phone runs on Android ecosystem, version 7.0 i.e. Nougat. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone supports only one SIM, which might be deal breaker for many users.

LG has always been able to provide decent cameras in its smartphones. The LG X300 features with an 13MP primary camera that is backed by autofocus and LED flash. Also, a 5MP front camera has been provided in the phone. The primary camera supports basic functions like Touch to focus and offers shooting modes such as Continuous Shooting, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR). The best part about the Auto Shot is the fact that the smartphone automatically recognizes the people’s face when a selfie is taken from the camera. Video recording is also done by the camera at frames like 720p. The camera provided in the phone captures some decent images and the image quality was impressive when taken in bright light conditions. The image quality deteriorates a bit when we tried to take some in dim lighting conditions. The front shooter is capable of capturing some pretty decent selfies. The phone features a loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
