Meizu M621C-S

It was time for Meizu to come up with a new smartphone, and we picked up some rumoured specs on the upcoming Meizu M621C-S. The Meizu M621C-S expected to be coming up with a refined design, easily noticeable, but not breaking up with its roots. There is expectations of coming up with more storage, if you are ready to pay for it, and Android nougat expected to come pre-installed. The rest is pretty much as we left it on the previously launched smartphones - octa-core 1.8Ghz chipset, a 13MP main camera, the iconic mTouch key with a fingerprint scanner, and a beefy 3920 mAh battery. It seems Meizu was focused more on the appearance, rather on its performance and camera skills. And that would have been OK, if it is going to a mid-range market.

The Meizu M621C-S is rumoured to have 5.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD display with 16M colours and screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The size is one part of the equation that makes the display good. The external dimensions of the phone might be 153.6 × 75.8 × 8.15mm, thus making it a rather large smartphone for some users. The phone’s weight is expected to be around 175 gm, which makes it a rather heavy smartphone. With an approximate pixel density of 401 ppi display, the smartphone is spectacular. There may be no problem regarding the colour reproduction and with different viewing angles of the phone. The phone is expected to introduce Corning Gorilla glass 4 protection. The Meizu M621C-S is expected to be launched in three colour variants that are: White, Silver and Blue.

The Meizu M621C-S is expected to run on Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS and qualcomm snapdragon 653 processor. It is expected to have Mali-T860MP2 GPU. We are not sure about the number of cores that would be present in the phone. But we can be sure that with Meizu GPU one can play heavy games and videos without any issues. The Meizu M621C-S is expected to come with 3 memory variants that are 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM with three internal memory storage variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, while the internal storage could be expanded up to 256GB by using the second SIM card slot. The RAM would be more than sufficient for all kinds of tasks.

Apart from its memory configuration, it is not sure whether it would come with fingerprint sensor on panel of the smartphone. The images on the TENAA website showed no fingerprint sensor on the back panel. It may come embedded in the physical home button on the front panel. The M621C-S will provide 3.5mm jack that will feature active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.

The camera is the most important feature that everyone desires to have in their smartphone. With this upcoming phone, the expectations are high. It is expected to introduce more megapixels in the selfie camera than its previously launched smartphone. The primary camera could be a 13MP AF Camera with LED flash, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Face detection, HDR, Panorama features in the camera. The primary camera might take very good images that are full of details, while the images snapped in dim lighting conditions should be impressive too. The videos are expected to be recorded at 1080p@30fps. The secondary camera will come with a 5MP shooter that takes decent selfies. It is expected to introduced the most impressive feature - the beautify mode that removes wrinkles from the images and makes the image look beautiful.

The speakers provided in the smartphone work great. However, the sound may become thin at times. The phone will packed with sensors, such as accelerometer, proximity and compass, ambient light sensor etc. The messaging sector of the phone has been put into the SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM. The photo/video editor, Document viewer, has also been added to the phone. The phone comes with a Vibration MP3 WAV ringtones.

The Meizu M621C-S is expected to introduce a battery with better capacity. It is supposed to have 3920 mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery and give a huge battery backup. The battery also supposed to support fast battery charging, so that it could charge up to 75% in just 30 min. It may also come with a type-C USB port, a feature that is currently the talk of the town. The connectivity options also include 3G and LTE. The M621C-S expected to come with Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.0, A-GPS and microUSB v2.0.
