For quite a long time Micromax has been out of action and no launches were heard. Lately in March, Micromax has gained entry into the smartphone market with the launch of Micromax Canvas mega 2 Plus. This low range smart phone is good for its price when being compared to the other handsets in the same range. It will be available in the sophisticated black colour option in the markets and online stores. Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus, according to the company is the successor of the Micromax Canvas Mega 2, which was launched last year. Let’s go through what specifications the smartphone has accumulated in itself for the attraction of buyers.
The 16M colours touch screen handset has a 6 inches wide display. The fully laminated display will be come with a low resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The huge qHD screen is undoubtedly preferred by the buyers these days. But what they have to adjust with is the poor pixel density of 184 ppi. The bigger the screen, more prone it is towards scratches. But Micromax hasn’t worked on the scratch proof display for this handset. The multi touch smart phone does not give any certification for being dust proof or water proof.
Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus will be coming with the quad core 1.3 GHz spreadtrum SC9832 processor and works on the Android v6.0 marshmallow operating system. Apart from having 2GB RAM, it has also packed in itself a graphic processor. The internal memory offered by this smart phone is 16GB with the expandable option available (up to 64 GB) via a microSD card slot. The range of sensors in this handset will be including ambient light, proximity and accelerometer. No fingerprint sensor is promised via the handset.
As far as the specs of the camera are concerned, Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus offers 8 MP back camera and 5MP front camera. The back camera sports features like LED flash, autofocus, digital zoom and video recording. The front camera also has a flash and is good for taking the good quality selfies. The multimedia features in the Canvas Mega 2 Plus are audio and video playback, FM radio and a 3.5 mm head jack.
The Li- ion type of non-removable battery comes with a charge capacity of 3000 mAh. The tests of the handsets have revealed the capacity of the battery to be lasting for 25 hours in talk time and 245 hours in standby. Hence we can say it is an average battery for a huge screen which will need more power. The two connectivity features which will be the highlight of the smartphone are VoLTE support and 4G connectivity. These are the two features which every buyer checks these days in a handset. Apart from these, the other connectivity options available in the handset are- Wifi (with hotspot), Bluetooth (v4.0), GPS and microUSB v2.0. This dual SIM smartphone will connect to all the networks- 2G/EDGE-GPRS, 3G/HSPA and 4G/LTE-VoLTE.
Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus is already making statements of its competition with any other smartphone of the same range and is sounding already a winner. But there are few disadvantages also in this smart phone which cannot be overlooked. Go through the summary of the advantages and the disadvantages of the handset before making up the mind for its purchase.WHAT WE LIKED
