Micromax launched their Canvas Selfie 4 last month, and the main feature about the phone is the presence of 8MP cameras on its both sides. The newest addition to Micromax Selfie series runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In other words, this is Micromax’s first phone to run on Marshmallow. The phone features a 5 inch HD display and battery capacity of 2500mAh. There is another new feature about the phone - Apart from the two 8MP cameras, it also features “Tap Sense”, which means you can click images just by tapping. Also, you can use this feature to pick up calls. The phone seems to have very simple design from the front. It has the earpiece on top and proximity sensor, along with the front camera at the center. Capacitive Android touch keys are at the bottom, and they are not included in the screen. There is no camera key on the right side, and the left-hand side is completely left blank. On the back, at the top center, there is the primary camera and just below it is the single LED flash. Just below the flash, is a circular tap button, which Micromax calls Tapp Sense feature. A tap opens different apps in a jiffy with Tapp Sense. You can attend calls with a double-tap, click pictures with a single tap and just long-press the touch area to toggle between the front & rear camera. The 3.5 mm jack is on the top. The screen size is 5 inch, which is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with 16M colours. Screen resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels.
The phone runs on Android OS, v6.0 Marshmallow. The chipset used is Mediatek MT6580, which has a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor. The GPU used is Mali-400MP2. The phone has 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. The Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 features at this price will give a real worth to your money.
The primary camera at the back is 8MP autofocus camera. There is also a LED flash placed below it. At such a low price, Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 is providing the 8MP autofocus front camera for selfies as well. The picture quality of both cameras is quite good. The camera app features touch focus, Face Detection, Panorama, Self-Timer, HDR, Face Beauty and Geo Tagging. For multimedia, it supports videos in mp4, 3gpp, 3gp, and audios in Mp3/MID/AMR/AAC/WAV.
The phone comes with a 2500mAh Li-ion battery, and it serves an estimated 10 hours of talk time. It is a dual SIM phone, which supports 3G. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and microUSB v2.0 options for connectivity.
