The Micromax company was started to serve in the field of information technology development in the embedded device domain and later entered the world of mobile phones. It registered its name among the top mobile manufacturers by the end of 2010. A report of Q3 2014 says that Micromax had established itself among the top 10 vendors in the world in the matters of mobile marketing. Through their product offerings, they provide smart innovations that are affordable in nature. After 2015, the company is having one heck of a trouble created by global companies in the smartphone industry. Micromax Informatics Limited is regarded as the topmost consumer company in a survey. It is also the 10th largest company in the matters of mobile phone technology in the world. Micromax Vdeo1 is focusing on the target market of the Android users. Vdeo 1 can be considered as the introduction version in this series. After Vdeo 1, Micromax is expected to launch Vdeo 2.
The latest launch of the Micromax smartphone is the launch of Micromax Vdeo1 which was launched on the 7th of December and is primarily a phone to make the video calling a preferable option in India. The display of this phone is 4.0 inches touchscreen WVGA display and is protected by the well known corning gorilla glass. The resolution of the display is 480X800 pixels which is although not much but is good considering the fact that it is low ranged phone specifically designed for video calling. Other features include Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, FM. It lacks some commonly find features like the proximity sensor, compass or the magnetometer, gyroscope, Barometer, Temperature Sensor, NFC, Infrared.
The Micromax Vdeo 1 comes with the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) which is though not latest but still the best one. It also comes with an inbuilt processor of 1.3 GHz quad-core for a smoother experience and interface. The RAM is 1GB, and it is still better for the phone with low configuration. It comes with an internal storage of 8 GB which is expandable to a limit of 32GB by an SD card.
The primary camera, of the Vdeo 1 is a 5-megapixel camera and the availability of a LED flash will make pictures light up to some more extent. Autofocus and HD recording is said to be absent as a resolution of such low category features. The secondary camera is a 2MP camera which is solely focused for the purpose of selfies and video calling. With a little external software usage, the phone will have a considerably higher capacity of selfies capture. The phone will come with a Music player, an MP4 player and a 3.5 mm jack for earpieces.
The phone will come with a removable battery of 1600 mAh with li-Ion as its core. This is a big issue as the battery backup is confirmed to die if the phone is used for video calling. The rumor is that the phone is made for video calling as the primary target but with the inclusion of such low life battery, Micromax has created a mismatch. The phone will have GSM (2G), WCDMA/HSPA (3G), LTE (4G) and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) as the primary connectivity options available. Other connectivity options that that are likely to be considered are GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB OTG.
The phone has many good and bad qualities and for the convenience of the person buying, I shall now produce a list of comparison which will help from a customer’s point of view:WHAT WE LIKED
