With lot of ups and downs, Motorola came up with their first Android smartphone in 2009 whereas the first Android tablet in 2011. From there, the company worked hard in managing the competition in the smartphone industry with the other brands. Motorola as a company has gained a lot of limelight recently with its Moto E and Moto G series. And now they are all ready to launch two siblings in the name of Moto C and Moto C plus. The good thing is that the company has claimed the handsets to be every economical and lowest in range than their other handsets. As per the news, the handset with its sibling will be getting launched by the end of May 2017. The otoC will be an entry-level smartphone with basic features.
The IPS LCD Display type of screen will come with five inches of the screen size. The capacitive 16M colour touch screen will be having the resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The company has yet not announced anything about the phone’s dimensions and weight. One thing is sure that the handset will support Dual SIMs. Great looks with the classy body designs, the new Moto C will be featured in gold, red, black and silver colour options. The handset will not be coming up with any certification of being waterproof.
As far as the performance of the handset is concerned, it is expected to be basic. The MediaTek chipset will be having Quad- core 1.3 GHz functionality in the 32-bit processor. The operating system is likely to be of Android v7.0 Nougat type for new Moto C. The handset will also be featuring the storage options like 1GB RAM and internal memory of 8 GB. The expandable option is also available due to the microSD card slot giving the option up to 64 GB. The sensors available in this handset will be only proximity and accelerometer. No fingerprint scanner will be available in this smart phone.
The primary camera of the handset will be having the resolution of 5 MP with the features of LED flash, autofocus and geo-tagging. The secondary camera also will be featuring a flash (as per the rumours) but will have a resolution of 2 MP. You can shoot videos with the resolution of 720 pixels @ 30 fps. The common multimedia options come with the average loudspeakers and a 3.5 mm head jack for the smart phone. Moto C will be featuring MP3/ eAAC+/ WAV/ flac player and MP4/ H.264 player.
The battery of the handset is non removable and Li-ion type. The capacity of the battery is expected to be 2350 mAh. The battery for charging will be using micro USB v2.0 port and not the latest one (type C port). There are various connectivity options like Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), hotspot, Bluetooth (v4.2), GPS (with A- GPS), FM radio and micro USB v2.0 port. Apart from this the handset can go with any network- 2G, 3G or 4G. The features in messaging will be SMS, MMS, e- mail, IM and push mail. The browser will be of HTML5 and there will be no support of JAVA in the handset. The smartphone will also be having document viewer and photo/ video editor as the common features.
