The E-line of smartphones from Motorola bears spectacular features at affordable prices. It was only recently that Motorola had launched E4 and E4 Plus; now it is rumored that we can very soon expect another ‘E’ series smartphone from the manufacturers. Though there is no official confirmation about the upcoming Moto E5, everyone is expecting another phone on the path of its predecessors and be another lower priced smartphone from Motorola. The phone will compete with the budgetary smartphones and would target the similar users of Android segment.
The Moto E5 is expected to be a dual SIM smartphone with four core processor and 2GB RAM. It is also rumored that the phone would have Snapdragon chipset and in that case, it would be the first phone to host Qualcomm in the E-series.
The design of the upcoming Moto E5 is no different and is quite similar to that of its predecessors, E4 and E4 Plus. The rear side is covered with acrylic panel and the front flaunts a 5-inches screen. The screen is enabled for multi-touch and is of HD LCD Capacitive screen. The screen has the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels which may or may not work well when exposed to bright light.
Moto E5 would measure 155 x 75 x 10.75mm in dimensions and will weigh 158 grams only. The size and weight of the smartphone are comfortable enough to carry in hand or in a pocket. The primary camera is placed on the rear side with LED flash. The Moto emblem is also placed below the camera which appears to be decent. The front shooter is placed above the screen next to the speaker. The microphone is found to be at the end of the screen. From the leaked images we can find the home button also placed under the screen. Though the design of the phone is traditional but still the look and feel give a comfortable hold.
The Moto smartphones have also always performed beyond the expectations of the users and we expect similar kind of user satisfaction from Moto E5. This budgetary phone would run on Android 7.1 Nougat and is expected to be backed by a Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The processor is accompanied by 2GB of RAM which will be like an energy booster to support multitasking to a certain extent.
Moto E5 is expected to be dual SIM where one of the SIMs is of nano type and another of micro. Both the SIMs will able to provide internet connectivity of 4G//LTE networks and are enabled with VoLTE feature. The internal memory is expected to be of 16GB which is further expandable up to 32GB. Though the total memory storage is low, but it is still able to store different apps and loads of information.
The cameras of Moto E5 are of the resolution similar to that of other phones in the same range. The primary camera on the rear side is expected to be of 8MP accompanied with LED flash whereas the front shooter is expected to be of 5MP without flash. The phone would host few features of autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, digital zoom, etc. Both the cameras are enabled for video recording.
Though there is no much information about the multimedia features of the smartphone, we expect it to support audio and video formats of the type similar to that of their predecessor. Moto E5 would able to play videos of MP4, H.265, WMV, DivX, etc and audio files of MP3, WAV, eAAC, Flac, WMA, etc. It might also be embedded with FM radio by default and 3.5mm audio jack.
The battery of Moto E5 is not expected to be great and would be of 2800 mAh capacity. It will be non-removable from Li-Ion. The battery is rumored to host quick charging feature and in that case, Moto E5 will stand at par with the other smartphones in the budget segment.
The network connectivity to Moto E5 will be via its two SIM slots that support the internet up to 4G with VoLTE. The device will support 4G bands of LTE 2100, LTE 2300, LTE 1900, LTE 900, LTE 1700, LTE 850, LTE 2600, LTE 1800, LTE 800 and LTE 2500; 3G bands of HSDPA 850, HSDPA 900, HSDPA 1900, HSDPA 2100; 2G bands of GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900. The wireless connectivity includes GPS, GPRS, A-GPS, EDGE, Hotspot, Bluetooth, etc. The wired connectivity also includes 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB 2.0.
The phone is expected to be enabled for the following sensors, Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, etc.
Moto E5 is another budgetary phone from the E-Series of Motorola. It is expected to be released with good performing features that are in competition with the other smartphones of this price range.WHAT WE LIKED
