Motorola is once again returning with its budgeted range and this time it is launching another smartphone in its ‘G’ series. Moto G6 Plus is the successor of Moto G5 Plus and is the sixth iteration in the G series. Very recently, Motorola released G5 Plus and we are now getting the rumors of G6 Plus too. The upcoming device is expected to be in metal unibody similar to its predecessor. This device though expected to be a mid-range, it might host few premium features too like water resistance and dust resistance.
Moto G6 Plus is expected to host a deca-core processor and latest Android version to target mid-range Android consumers. As the predecessors hosted Snapdragon 625, the successor, G6 Plus is expected to come with Snapdragon 630 chipset. The device might launch in March 2018.
The next mid-ranger from Motorola is expected to sport 5.2-inches IPS LCD display with full HD resolution with a pixel density of 400 ppi. This will result in better display quality and crystal-clear images. The brightness and color temperature will also improve with this pixel density. Motorola seems to decrease the bezel size in its devices to reduce the body size too. The screen comes covered with Corning Gorilla glass 4 to protect the display.
Following the predecessors, the Moto G6 Plus will come in a unibody design and in colors like, Black, Grey, Gold, etc. though the same has not been confirmed. The device is expected to be dustproof and waterproof.
The Moto G6 Plus might be powered by Snapdragon 630 which is the latest version from Qualcomm. This chipset is more efficient than the previous versions and having this in mid-ranger will definitely add value to the users too. It is expected to be octa-core processor of ARM Cortex A-53 which will be clocked at 2.2GHz. The latest Snapdragon will enable lower battery consumption and will increase the overall efficiency too. The Snapdragon 630 is accompanied with Adreno 508 GPU which is much powerful than the predecessors. The device is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Similar to G5 Plus, the successor might also host dual SIM which would be enabled with internet connectivity up to 4G. The G6 Plus probably will come in two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory, and 4GB with 32 GB internal memory. The users might experience little lags with 2 GB RAM but with 4 GB it may split screen for multitasking without any lags. The internal memory is also expected to be expandable upto 128 GB.
Moto G6 Plus would host 12 MP rear camera with dual LED flash. This camera would sport features like Autofocus, Touch Focus, Geo-Tagging, Panorama, Digital Zoom, and Face Detection. The front camera would be 5 MP and is good for selfies as well as video calling. The rear camera is also expected to host few other advance features like Auto HDR, Auto Exposure and Smart Burst.
The primary camera on the rear side would able to record videos at 1080 pixels resolution and a front camera would record at 720 pixels resolution. It has been rumored that Motorola will optimize the camera app to take pictures with less noise.
Though there is not much information about the multimedia features of the phone, it is expected to have 3.5mm jack and FM radio too.
The Moto G6 Plus would host a battery similar to that of its predecessor, i.e., with a 3000 mAh or more capacity. The battery will be non-removable Li-ion type and would also support Quick Charge 3.0. The battery capacity would easily last for a day but in the case of excessive usage, the same can be charged quickly without hanging up for more charging.
Motorola is known to provide better connectivity options in its devices. The G6 Plus would be enabled with 2G with bands GSM 1800 / 1900 / 850 / 900 MHz; 3G with bands UMTS 1700 / 1900 / 2100 / 850 MHz; and 4G with bands LTE 2100, LTE 800, LTE 1800, LTE 2600. Among the wireless connectivity options, the smartphone might host Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS, VoLTE, etc. The phone would be enabled with wired connectivity options like Micro USB 2.0.
Among the sensors, Moto G6 Plus will come with sensors like Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Proximity, Compass, etc.
Moto G6 Plus is a power-packed smartphone from Motorola at a mid-range budget. The smartphone is expected to host many exciting features for the first time than any other device in this price range.WHAT WE LIKED
