It is quite recently that Motorola has released its G5S Plus smartphone in the budgeted segment. Even though many still want to try their hands on this device, there is a rumor that the Motorola is already planning new phone in the series. The G6S Plus is expected to be the successor of G5s Plus. The phone is expected to hosts features very similar to that of its predecessors or may overcome the shortcomings of the previous one.
The G6S Plus is expected to be another affordable Android phone from Moto series and would target the Android market of a medium budgetary segment. We all know that the previous G5 Plus had complaints of heating and few performance related issues. We expect that the same will be wiped off by the manufacturers in the successor devices.
From the leaked images of G6S Plus, it appears that the design of the device is not an out-of-the-box one and represents a typical Motorola design. The panel is acrylic make with rounded on the edges. The selfie shooter with a speaker is placed on the front side and above the screen. The microphone is at the end of the screen. The home button is also seen in the middle of the end of the screen with navigation touch buttons on the either side.
The dimensions of the phone are not confirmed and so it will be very early to comment on the portability of the device. The screen is expected to be either the same to that of the predecessor or would be around 5.2-inch to reduce the size of the smartphone so that it can be carried easily in hand or in a pocket. The screen would be Full HD LCD Capacitive type and will produce a clear display with proper legibility and protected with Corning Gorilla glass too.
The performance of G5S Plus was targeted on the quality issues. We expect that such loopholes will be attended and sorted in G6S Plus. The device is anyhow an octa-core processor of Cortex A53 and clocked to 2 GHz. The processor will be accompanied by 3GB RAM. This will ensure lag-free user experience and improvised performance. The predecessor was launched in dual variants and we can expect the same with G6S Plus too.
The phone would host internal memory of 16GB which is not yet confirmed and the same is also expandable up to 256GB. If we expect two variants in this smartphone, then we can also expect differential default memory spaces. Another feature that can be expected which is found in previous versions of GS Plus is that the device would be splash resistant.
The device is expected to be of dual SIM where both the slots will be enabled to provide internet connectivity up to 4G.
The camera is an important feature where every user looks for the best in the given price segment. The primary camera of G6S Plus is again expected to be approximately 12MP with dual tone LED flash to capture detailed images even in dull or dark lighting. The front camera is not that great and is expected to be around 5MP. We also expect a LED flash on to assist the selfie clicks. The secondary camera is still good for selfie photographs and video calling facility.
The cameras might able to perform video recording too with expected resolution of 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second.
As the phone is not yet announced and in the final stages of development, we do not have any information about its multimedia features. If we assume it to be the successor of G5S Plus, then G6S Plus will able to play Audio files of MP3/AAC+/WAV/Flac player and Video files of MP4/H.264 player. It might also have FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
The battery capacity of Moto G6S Plus will be of 3000 mAh non-removable of Li-Ion type. The battery performance is similar to that of the predecessor but it will be good if Motorola also embeds the Turbo Charging feature in their new device.
There is absolutely no hint about the connectivity options that the phone will include. We expect the dual SIM slots to be enabled with 4G internet connectivity. Among the wireless options, the device will anyhow host default connectivity like Wifi, Wifi Hotspot, Wifi Direct, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth, and few more. The micro USB 2.0 will be available among the wired connectivity options.
The phone is expected to be enabled with a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc.
Overall, Moto G6S Plus appears to be a copy of its predecessor. But unless Motorola shares the detailed configuration and we come across with the user reviews, we cannot comment whether the phone is an improvement over the other G6 Plus series or will it be just another in the pattern.WHAT WE LIKED
