The way Samsung has integrated itself into the smartphone market is commendable. They seem to have figured out the way to make successful smartphones. Their strategy of releasing next-gen smartphones for their hit smartphones appears to be spot on. Recently, there has been a lot of rumors online regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) smartphone. The smartphone would act as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphone. So, let’s see how this smartphone may turn out to be in real life.
According to the online rumors, one should not expect huge changes in the design of Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017). Many experts believe that the design aspects would be exactly similar as that of its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016). The phone is expected to feature with the same rectangular design with curved edges. The phone shall also feature with a physical home button and two soft-touch capacitive buttons. The phone is expected to be launched in three color variants i.e. white, black and gold. The phone is expected to feature with a 5.5-inches super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display. The HD display shall be able to provide a 401-ppi rich screen. If the specifications turn out to be same in real life, then the phone shall easily have one of the best display in the budget segment of the smartphone. The super AMOLED display shall get bright enough and would easily catch the user’s attention. Overall, the phone would be able to score well in terms of design and display.
The phone is believed to be powered by a 2.0GHz processor that would be backed by a Snapdragon 625 chipset. The processor would be able to provide a power packed performance, as the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset would be able to handle a lot of pressure. Many reports confirm that the Adreno 506 GPU would be provided in the phone, which would make sure that games and videos would be played without any problem. The phone would also be supported by a 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the phone is expected to be 16GB, which again could be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The signature modes shall include S-bike mode, which is one of the exclusive features for the other J series smartphones. The phone shall run on Android platform and we believe that the phone would be running on the latest Android OS, version 7.0 i.e. Nougat. The phone shall feature with dual-SIM card slots and would support 4G LTE with data saving modes.
Many reports say that the phone shall feature with a 13Mp camera that would be backed by autofocus and LED flashlight. The front camera is expanded to feature a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The additional features of the camera would include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. The video recording is expected to be done at frames like 1080p@30fps. If the spec turns out to be in real life, then one would be able to capture decent images from the camera. Just like many other Samsung smartphones, one would be able to capture good images from the camera. We just hope that the low light photography would be much better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016). The 5.0 MP Selfie camera would be able to capture some decent selfies. A loudspeaker would also be provided in the phone and so would be a 3.5mm audio jack.
The phone is expected to feature with a 3000mAh battery, which we hope can provide enough juice to the smartphone which is sufficient to support heavy usage daily. The connectivity options would include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, Hotspot, A2DP, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB OTG and microUSB v2.0. The sensors that are expected to come with the phone include accelerometer and proximity. Many reports say that a fingerprint scanner may also be provided in the home button, but then again it’s inconclusive at present.
