Vivo has been making amazing flagship devices and recently they launched their flagship device, Vivo X9 Plus. The smartphone immediately became buzzworthy when its specs were known by the smartphone community. The smartphone offers amazing performance topped with world class cameras and battery that never runs out of juice. Apparently, Vivo is betting a lot on this phone and hopes to make large sales.
The phone has a premium appearance and looks a stunner. The phone’s high craftsmanship can be easily observed by looking at the phone. The phone does share some resemblance with the iPhone 6 when looked from the back side. As the general geometry of the phone is concerned, the volume rocker and the power button has been provided on the right edge of the phone, while the speaker has been provided on the bottom edge of the phone. The phone also comes with a physical home button. The fingerprint sensor is embedded upon the home button. There are two soft touch capacitive buttons given along. The external dimensions of the phone are 162 x 79 x 7.5 mm (6.38 x 3.11 x 0.30 in) and the phone weighs around 199 grams. The phone is available in two color variants i.e. Gold and Rose Gold. The phone comes with a 5.88-inches wide IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with an effective resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The FHD display provided in the phone turns out to be impressive. The display looks well balanced and the screen looks lively enough. The best part about the display is that it has fantastic viewing angles. As the screen gets really bright, sunlight legibility is not an issue.
The phone is powered by an Octa-core (4x1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4x1.44 GHz Cortex-A53) processor mounted on a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 653 chipset. The processor provided in the phone proves out to be powerful enough and carries out daunting tasks easily. Multitasking can be easily done on the phone even when several heavy apps are running. Vivo has always focused on providing epic cameras in its high end flagship devices and this phone is no exception. The phone features a 16MP PDAF primary camera with an LED flashlight. The primary camera comes with all basic features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. The main attraction of this phone is not the primary camera but the front shooter. The front camera is a Dual-lens 20 MP + 8 MP camera that’s just mind blowing. The front camera is specifically designed for taking selfies. Video calling isn’t an issue at all, given the resolving power of the front camera. The cameras are capable of HD video recording . About the overall picture quality of the camera, we can easily say that the images captured by the camera are impressive. The images snapped by the primary camera are full of colors and capture a lot of details. The images captured in dim light conditions are good too but not as good as images captured in bright light conditions. The front camera steals the show with its epic performance. One can take amazing selfies with the selfies shooter, while they can also enhance their photographs using the software provided in the phone. The options that come in-built with the phone are themselves enough and there is no need to download any third-party image editing applications. The loudspeaker provided in the phone gets loud enough for all ambient environments and a 3.5mm audio jack is also provided in the phone.
