Vivo is coming up with its new mid-range smartphone X9i that will host Super AMOLED display and Snapdragon 625 chipset. The phone comes in only two colors- Black and Gray. X9i is the successor of Vivo’s X9 series. As the phone runs on Marshmallow OS, it targets to the Android users. It is dual SIM and is enabled with fingerprint scanner too.

The screen is Super AMOLED with the resolution of 401 ppi that enables sharp, vivid and clear display which improves the legibility in the sunlight too. The presence of Super AMOLED also reduces the consumption of battery usage as the pixels emit light by themselves. To keep the display scratch-free, it is covered with Corning Gorilla glass.
The smartphone weighs 162 grams with the dimensions of 152.58 x 74 x 7.26 mm. The entire body is of alloy metal with nano injection molding finish. Though the weight of X9i is little high but the rear panel is not slippery and can be easily held in hand.
Vivo X9i is set to deliver an unbelievable performance to its users. The phone shells Octa-core processor of 2.02 GHz along with Snapdragon 625 chipset from Qualcomm. The GPU is Adreno 506, which enables processing of video games and HD videos. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Though this version of Android is not the latest one, still the OS can be upgraded. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM. The power-packed processor along with big RAM capacity enables smooth execution of multiple apps and faster level of performance.
The internal memory storage of Vivo X9i is 64GB which is enough to store the required data images, videos, apps, and files. But the same is not expandable because of the absence of card slot. This might be a drawback as every time you have to do space management on your phone.
The phone has the option of single SIM which is of micro size. The SIM type is CDMA and is enabled with 4G and VoLTE.
The cameras of Vivo are known for their clear picture quality due to inbuilt features and flash. The rear camera of X9i is simply amazing with a resolution of 16 megapixels. This camera can perform video recording at 1080p@30fps. The camera hosts many other features like autofocus, flash, geo-tagging, panorama, face detection, digital zoom, etc.
The front camera which is good to take selfies is 8 megapixels and can be used for video calling too. This front shooter clicks snaps which give you detailed selfies and offers good video calling too.
The X9i has default access to FM Radio. It supports audio formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AMR, eAAC+, MIDI, etc. whereas the video player supports MPEG4, H.263, Xvid and WMV video formats. That means all the latest formats of audio and video are supported by the smartphone.
Vivo X9i is powered by Li-Ion 3080 mAh battery which is non-removable. The battery can support for a day with moderate usage. But in case if you ever go short of it, then you can charge it quickly as it supports fast charging.
The X9i smartphone supports 4G connectivity with Voice over LTE. Along with this, the phone has other connectivity options like A-GPS, Wifi, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/nac, Wifi Direct, Hotspot, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, etc. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack that enables you to connect to bigger devices like headphones, speakers, etc.
