Xiaomi has been able to produce a range of ultra-successful smartphones. After their success in China and India Xiaomi climbed to the third rank in the world’s largest producers of smartphone after Samsung and Apple Inc. They seem to be adding all the right ingredients in their smartphones that makes them instant hit in the markets. There have been a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming Mi 6 Pro smartphones. Let’s take a look what we could find out about this latest rumoured smartphone.
According to the leaked images online, we can easily say that the phone is going to be a stunner. Just like previous flagship devices from Xiaomi, this phone will also come with stylish exteriors topped with excellent craftsmanship. The phone would come with a physical home button and two soft touch capacitive buttons. The fingerprint scanner would be embedded on the home button, just like that in Mi 5. The volume rocker and the power button are expected to be provided on the right edge of the phone. Right now there is no information pertaining to the external dimensions or the weight of the phone. The phone is expected to be launched in four color variants i.e. Silver, Gray, Gold and Rose Gold. It is also believed that the phone will be given a 5.15 inch ultra-HD IPS LCD edge design dual-curved screen display that would provide a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The display is also expected to be provided with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The UHD display shall house approximately 570 ppi and will certainly rock the viewing experience of its users. The display will definitely get bright enough so that there would be no problem with the display of the phone regarding sunlight legibility. Overall the phone is set to have an amazing design and a fantastic display.
According to the online rumors, the phone is expected to run on an Octa-core (4x2.45 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9GHz Kryo) processor that mounted upon a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 SoC chipset. The processor apparently has the potential to provide an amazing power packed performance . Users would be able to perform heavy multi-tasking on the phone without having to worry about lags, stutters and frame drops. At such specs, playing heavy apps and videos won’t be a problem, as the rumored Adreno 540 chipset will be able to handle their heavy graphic needs. The phone is most probably run on Android platform and we hope it would feature with Android v7.0 i.e. Nougat with the help of Xiaomi’s MIUI 8.0. The phone is expected to come with 256GB of internal storage, which according to us is insanely impressive. The internal storage of the phone cannot be expanded by its users. With such a huge amount of storage already present, this hardly becomes a drawback as most users would not even consider the option to expand the storage. However, many users who change their phones frequently would like to have the external microSD card option in the phone. In our opinion, this would depend upon the user. It is also believed that a 6GB of RAM would be provided in the phone.
Although it is not clear yet, but we’re speculation that the phone might support dual SIM. But what we’re sure about, is that the phone would definitely support 4G/LTE networks.
It is rumored that the phone’s primary camera would be a dual-lens 12MP PDAF digital Camera backed by dual-LED (dual tone) flashlight. The camera features would include Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection and Touch to focus. Shooting modes should include Continuous Shooting and High Dynamic Range mode (HDR) amongst a load of options that all Mi phones have been incorporating so far. HD video recording would be done by the camera. The phone will also come with a 4MP Front Camera. Xiaomi has been able to provide amazing cameras in its flagship devices and we hope nothing less with this device too. With the rumored specifications one can expect to capture amazing images from the camera. However, a camera passes the real test it is able to capture decent images in low light conditions too. The Mi5 had shown some really impressive results in low light. The front shooter has the capability to capture impressive selfies too. A loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm jack with active noise cancellation and dedicated mic is also expected to be provided with the phone.
It is believed that the phone will feature a 4000mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery. It is rumored that the battery would support quick charging. With the rumored specs, the battery can run for a day with moderate to heavy usage. Talking about connectivity options, the phone is expected to feature Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/nac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, A2DP, LE, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, NFC, and USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. The other sensors that are expected in the phone are Fingerprint (front-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer.
Overall, we believe the Xiaomi Mi6 has been designed specifically to compete the Samsung Galaxy S8 (which we believe is to be launched very soon) and Apple iPhone 8 directly with the given specifications. Xiaomi seems to be set in the mood of bringing in yet another flagship killer in the market.WHAT WE LIKED
