Xiaomi as smartphones have done wonders in the industry but when it comes to launching tablets, their records are not matching with the phones. Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is the recent launch of their tablet which will not support Android. The last launch of Xiaomi tablet was the lower version of Xiaomi Pad 3, and it did not give good results in the market. Maybe this is the reason that the company has decided to shift towards Windows. Although not much of the specifications are out, the wait might get soon over as phone is expected to be launched soon as declared in December 2016. Since it will be a middle range tablet, the company is hoping to get a better hold on the market of tablets with its design and specs. It will also be having the option of a keyboard dock, but this has to be purchased separately and will not be included in the price of the tablet.
The display of Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is 9.7 inches comes with the resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels which approximately equals the pixel density of 264ppi. It has multitouch 16 M color touch screen. The handset is having IPS LCD capacitive type of display. The weight of this tablet is expected to be 380 grams, and the body looks to have metallic finishing. The thickness of the tablet as per the leaked specifics is expected to be 6.08 mm. The tablet will offer itself in two body colors of Champagne Gold and Dark Gray to choose from.
This Mi pad works on the operating system of Microsoft Windows 10 with Intel Core M3- 7Y30 chipset. It will have 8GB RAM with the options in the internal memory to be picked up from 128 or 256 GB. There is no extra card slot to keep the possibility of expansion of the memory. It comes loaded with various features. For sensors, it has an inbuilt compass, accelerometer, and gyro. The browser is of HTML 5 and does not support JAVA. IM, E-mail and push mail are few of the options which can be picked up for messaging. With the Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU powered in this tablet, it is all set to compete with all the convertibles present in the market. It is also assumed to have fingerprinting sensor although confirmation from the company has not come yet.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has two cameras for clicking the best snapshots and recording the video. The primary camera has 16 MP whereas the front camera will have the resolution of 8 MP. The rear camera comes with the features of autofocus and dual LED flash. The video recording will have the resolution of 1080 pixels. In multimedia, the handset comes with stereo speakers and has 3.5 mm jack. The sound system of this Mi pad comes with the dedicated microphone having the feature of active noise cancellation. You can have options of WAV ringtones, vibration and MP3 to pick up for getting the alerts. The Mi Pad also has Xvid/ MP4/ H.265 player and MP3/ WAV/ eAAC+/ Flac player. The features of this handset also include a document viewer and photo/ video editor.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is expected to have the battery capacity of 8290 mAh with the feature of quick charging. The battery is made of Li-Po and is non removable. Since there is no slot for GSM, it will not have any kind of network connectivity. This handset will not support EDGE and GPRS also. The only connectivity features include 1.0 reversible connector USB- type C, GPS and Bluetooth of v 4.2, A2DP and LE. WLAN have options of a hotspot, Wi-Fi of 802.11 a/b/g/nac, Wi-Fi direct and dual-band connectivity. It does not support radio.
