Xiaomi has realized that its Redmi series is quite popular among the younger generations and therefore, the company has declared its first selfie-centric device as Redmi Y1 at affordable price range. The device is similar to that of Redmi Note 5A Prime in appearance and hardware configuration. The device ships with a metallic body which gives a premium look at a budgetary price. The company is targeting the budgeted segment of Android users. The Chinese manufacturer is planning to launch the Redmi Y1 in the month of November 2017. The phone is available in colors like Gold and Dark Grey which are more likely priced the same.

When you hold a Xiaomi Redmi Y1, no one can make that the device is affordable for such a low price. The unibody of the phone is metallic with curved on the edges. The design of the phone hails from the recent smartphone, Redmi Note 5A Prime. The primary camera with LED flash is placed on a corner on the rear side. The fingerprint scanner like other Xiaomi phones is again on the upper side of the panel. The secondary camera is on the front side for selfies.
